Robert Peter "Robbie" Williams (born 13 February 1974) is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. He was a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995 and again from 2009 to 2012. He has also had commercial success as a solo artist.
Williams rose to fame in the band's first run in the early-to-mid-1990s. After many disagreements with the management and group members, Williams left the group in 1995 to launch a hugely successful solo career, which saw his first seven albums each reach number one in the UK. Williams also released seven number-one singles and found similar success across Europe. On 15 July 2010, it was announced he had rejoined Take That. The group's subsequent album became the second fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time.Gary Barlow has since confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time, although the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin the band in the future.
Robert "Robbie" Williams (born 12 April 1979 in Liverpool, Merseyside) is an English footballer playing for Warrington Town.
Williams signed for Accrington Stanley in July 1999 from Liverpool County Football Combination side St Dominics. He played for the club for ten years, making 238 league appearances for the club, and picking up championship winning medals for the Northern Premier Division One in 2000, the Northern Premier League in 2003 and the Conference National in 2006, seeing the club promoted to the Football League.
In April 2009, Williams, who at the time was the club's longest serving player, along Stanley team-mates Peter Cavanagh, Jay Harris and David Mannix and Bury player Andy Mangan were charged with breaching the Football Association's betting rules, with some accused of gambling thousands of pounds on their team to lose. The scandal related to Accrington Stanley's last game of the last League Two season, at home to Bury.
Robbie Williams (died 20 December 2007) was the first Indigenous Australian councillor to sit on the Brisbane City Council. He had held the role only since October 2007, but had been tipped to win a seat in the council elections in March 2008. Previously Williams had served three terms as a regional councillor with ATSIC and was later the ATSIC commissioner for Brisbane and southeast Queensland. He was widely known for his community work, and was the founder and chair of First Contact Aboriginal Corporation for Youth, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of indigenous youth, in 1992.
Williams was the son of Hazel, an Aboriginal with connections to the Yugambeh language group, and his father was Bob Williams, a butcher. He trained and worked as a butcher for several years before gaining a diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander welfare and joining the Australian Public Service, working in the Department of Social Security.
He was married to Trish and had four children. He died of a heart attack at the age of 45 on 20 December 2007.
Let Me Entertain You may refer to:
"Let Me Entertain You" is a single by Robbie Williams, released as the fifth and final single from his debut studio album, Life thru a Lens (1997). It was written by Williams and Guy Chambers. In March 1998, the track became a top three hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at number three. The song became a hit in the UK staying inside the top ten for a month, and is certified Silver for sales of over 200,000 copies.
Williams and Chambers were inspired to write a 'Who-esque' song after watching the Rolling Stones film Rock 'n' Roll Circus together.
"When we started writing the demo there was a furious jungle beat underneath it. It was so hardcore it got me very excited, and I still get excited listening to it now. It's not really heavy metal, it's more like camp rock opera!"
The lyrics are mostly innuendoes and double entendre, telling the story of a man trying to persuade someone to cheat on their boyfriend with him. Although the sex of this person is never mentioned, it is worth noting that the lyrics include the phrase mon cher, which means my dear only when referring to a male. In a 2010 interview, Williams was quoted as saying "An awful lot of gay pop stars pretend to be straight. I'm going to start a movement of straight pop stars pretending to be gay."
Jazz is the seventh studio album by British rock band Queen, released on 10 November 1978. Roy Thomas Baker temporarily reunited with the band and became their producer; it was three years since he co-produced their 1975 album A Night at the Opera, but this album also was the last he co-produced for the band. The album's varying musical styles were alternately praised and criticised. It reached #2 in the UK Albums Chart and #6 on the US Billboard 200. Jazz has sold over 5 million copies to date.
Critical reaction upon release was mixed, with scathing reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and Creem. It was subject to a viciously condemning Rolling Stone review by Dave Marsh, which included the suggestion that "Queen may be the first truly fascist rock band". Paul Rees of Q awarded the record four stars, and wrote, "Their most underrated album, like A Night at the Opera it took in a wild array of musical styles."
"Mustapha" is a song written by Freddie Mercury. It was released as a single in 1979.
Robbie Williams (born 28 December 1986) is an English professional snooker player.
Williams turned professional in 2012 after qualifying in Event 3 of the Q School and gained a two-year tour card for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 snooker seasons.
He has represented England in a number of amateur competitions, including the World Under 21 Championships in India. Williams has won the Merseyside Open five times.
In 2010, he won the Paul Hunter English Open. In June 2011, he reached the last 16 of a PTC event, beating Peter Ebdon, Nick Jennings and Ali Carter, before losing to Graeme Dott. In March 2012, he was part of the England team who claimed victory in the European Team Championships. In May, he qualified for the main snooker tour by coming through the third Qualifying School event with a 4–3 win over Mitchell Mann in his final match, with a break of 102 in the deciding frame.
Williams' first match as a professional was in qualifying for the 2012 Wuxi Classic, where he lost 2–5 to Thepchaiya Un-Nooh. He won two matches, but lost in the third qualifying round three times during the season in the ranking events. Williams played in all ten of the minor-ranking Players Tour Championship events, with his best finish coming in the first European Tour Event where he beat established players Tom Ford, Robert Milkins and Jamie Cope, before losing a last frame decider to Mark Selby. It was largely down to this result which saw Williams finish 47th on the PTC Order of Merit. His season ended when he was beaten 7–10 by Li Yan in the first round of World Championship Qualifying, which saw him finish his first year on tour ranked world number 79.
Feel (Official Music Video) The first single from Robbie's fifth studio album 'Escapology', which entered the UK Album Chart at No. 1 in November 2002 where it stayed for six weeks (returning for one more week the following August). 'Feel' would become one of Robbie's biggest international hits, hitting the top spot in the Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal and Romania. Among the talent joining Robbie on 'Feel' - his seventeenth UK Top 40 hit - was bass player Phil Spalding, whose glittering career included contributions to Mike Oldfield's 1983 UK No. 4 hit 'Moonlight Shadow', and Sir Elton John's Grammy Award winning song 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'. The moody black and white promo video was directed by Robbie's frequent collaborator Vaughan Arnell. It was sho...
Angels (Official Music Video) The fourth single from 'Life Thru A Lens', and the first song that Robbie wrote with Guy Chambers. Released as a single at the beginning of December 1997, it spent twelve consecutive weeks on the UK Top 10 and peaked at No. 4. It has returned to the chart on numerous occasions in the intervening years, with streaming figures now in excess of 380 million. A public vote for the 2005 BRIT Awards, where Robbie performed the song as a duet with Joss Stone, named 'Angels' the best song in the previous twenty-five years. In June 2018, his chosen duet partner was Taylor Swift, when the pair performed 'Angels' onstage at Wembley Stadium in London. The promo video for 'Angels' was filmed at Staunton Sands, a beach on the North Devon Coast in England, and directed by...

It entered the UK Chart at No. 1, giving Robbie his second chart-topping single. Hell is gone and heaven's here
There's nothing left for you to fear
Shake your arse come over here
Now scream
I'm a burning effigy
Of everything I used to be
You're my rock of empathy, my dear
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Life's too short for you to die
So grab yourself an alibi
Heaven knows your mother lied
Mon cher
Separate your right from wrongs
Come and sing a different song
The kettle's on so don't be long
Mon cher
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Look me up in the yellow pages
I will be your rock of ages
Your see through fads and your crazy phrases yeah
Little Bo Peep has lost his sheep
He popped a pill and fell asleep
The dew is wet but the grass is sweet, my dear
Your mind gets burned with the habits you've learned
But we're the generation that's got to be heard
You're tired of your teachers and your school's a drag
You're not going to end up like your mum and dad
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
He may be good he may be outta sight
But he can't be here so come around tonight
Here is the place where the feeling grows
You gotta get high before you taste the lows
So come on
Let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
So come on let me entertain me
Let me entertain you
