Reynoldsville is a borough in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, 102 miles (164km) northeast of Pittsburgh, in a productive soft coal region. In the past, it had silk mills, brick and tile works, a tannery, a macaroni factory, and an asbestos plant to provide employment. In 1900, the population stood at 3,435 people; and in 1910, 3,189. Reynoldsville was greatly enlarged in 1913 when it annexed West Reynoldsville (population 993 in 1910) and three large adjacent areas. The population was 2,710 at the 2000 census.
Reynoldsville was originally called Winslow Township and was renamed after local postmaster Thomas Reynolds in 1850.
Documentary about living life in a small rural town in Western Pennsylvania. Reynoldsville was once a thriving bustling town with clothing stores, apparel factories, and asbestos plant. The economy and population has been in decline since the 70's. But many still call this small rural town their home.

Two arrested in suspected mobile meth lab in Reynoldsville
By: Lauren Hensley
REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. -- A mobile meth lab, that's what police said a vehicle might be, as a clandestine lab team was called in around 4 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a vehicle parked as a gas station parking lot in Jefferson County.
Roads were closed along Main Street in Reynoldsville and all of the commotion drew out neighbors who were upset to learn the details.
"This isn't what Reynoldsville is supposed to be like because this is such a close-knit town, everybody knows each other, this is not what is supposed to be going on at all," Hally Baranick said.
State police said two people were arrested in relation to the suspect meth lab, but details about the arrest and their names were not released.

Volunteers carry the cross in Reynoldsville for%
By: Deven Clarke
REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. " More than a dozen volunteers carried the cross to recognize Good Friday in Reynoldsville.
"I know a lot of people have to work, and a lot of people don't even celebrate Easter, but we just want to remind them what Good Friday is all about," said Pastor Samuel Bundy.
Walking for blocks passing the cross off to one another, religious leaders said it's nothing compared to what their actions represent.
"The passion and suffering of Christ who carried that cross so long ago," said Rev. Thomas Carr.
The procession started at the CMA Church in Reynoldsville and traveled several blocks to the Presbyterian Church, making 11 stops along the way.
Participants read scriptures at each stop.

"It's not very shocking because there is a bunch of talk of people having this stuff everywhere, but it is pretty crazy," Chelsea Murray, of Reynoldsville, said.
Murray has a 2-year-old son and she said she doesn't want her child exposed to this kind of illegal activity.
"It's not good for the community, it makes me scared to raise my son here and I don't want to have him grow up in this area with all of this around," Murray said.

Those who participated Friday worship at different churches, but celebrated together.
The cross remains at the Presbyterian Church of Reynoldsville until the next Good Friday when the same procession will end with the cross at another church.
