Revolutions per Minute is the second album by American punk rock band Rise Against. It features the singles "Like the Angel" and "Heaven Knows", as well as a cover of Journey's "Any Way You Want It". The album had a limited release on vinyl (217 of which were on red vinyl) which is now out of print. It was the band's last release under Fat Wreck Chords prior to their move to Geffen Records, where they released Siren Song of the Counter Culture in 2004. It is also the only album to feature guitarist Todd Mohney.
Inside the album cover, there is a copyright to Transistor Revolt, the band's name before they switched to Rise Against.
On May 28, 2013, the album celebrated its tenth anniversary with a re-release titled RPM10. It contains 10 bonus tracks of demos in addition to the original track list, though the cover of "Any Way You Want It" by Journey that was a hidden track on the original release is absent from the reissue.
Revolutions per minute (abbreviated rpm, RPM, rev/min, r/min) is a measure of the frequency of rotation, specifically the number of rotations around a fixed axis in one minute. It is used as a measure of rotational speed of a mechanical component. In the French language, tr/mn (tours par minute) is the common abbreviation. The German language uses the abbreviation U/min or u/min (Umdrehungen pro Minute).
Here the sign ↔ (correspondent) is used instead of = (equal). Formally, hertz (Hz) and radian per second (rad/s) are two different names for the same SI unit, s−1. However, they are used for two different but proportional ISQ quantities: frequency and angular frequency (angular speed, magnitude of angular velocity). The conversion between a frequency f (measured in hertz) and an angular velocity ω (measured in radians per second) are:
33 Revolutions per Minute is Marxman's debut album, released in the United Kingdom on 1 April 1993, with a slightly modified version being released in the United States the following year. Three singles were released in the UK from the album - the double A side "Dark are the Days" and "Sad Affair", the latter of which was banned by the BBC due to its Irish Republican lyrics, "Ship Ahoy" and finally "All About Eve", which was the groups greatest commercial success reaching number 28 in the UK Singles Chart.
Track Listing (UK)
The album featured a number of different producers, and also contributions by established artists such as Sinéad O'Connor. All tracks were scratched by DJ K One except track 9, scratched by DJ Premier.
Credits
Tracks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 were produced by Adam Fuest, tracks 1, 8 and 11 by Demus, tracks 6, 8 and 12 by Leroy Quintyn, track 9 by Gang Starr and track 7 by Stimulated Dummies.

ONE REVOLUTION PER MINUTE - a short film by Erik Wernquist
ONE REVOLUTION PER MINUTE is a short film I made to explore my fascination with artificial gravity in space.
It takes place aboard the "SSPO Esperanta" - a planetary orbiter that spins around itself at a rate of one revolution per minute (1 RPM). With a radius of 450 meters, the spin generates artificial gravity with an effect of approximately 0.5 g along its main deck.
With the "Esperanta" I wanted to create a leisure-like environment, such as a hotel or cruise ship, and explore what the views could be like onboard when the orbiter visits some of the worlds in our solar system. I was also particularly interested in how light and shadows from the sun play around in the interior as it spins around.

This trigonometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into linear speed and angular velocity. It discusses how to convert linear speed to angular speed. It explains how to convert rpm values or revolutions per minute into feet per second. It also shows you how to convert rad/s to m/s, rev/s to mph, km/hr to rpm, and miles per hour to radians per second. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

You let me down now
You let me burn loose
I begged for love, love
You fucked me up good
Bluer than the sky

You let me down now
You let me burn loose
A role I had to act on
I was aching for a chance
To play a part in your day
And be the highlight of your night
Chorus
Sitting by you
Drunk and lost
As I tell you what it’d cost
For you and me to be an us
A hope for a chance
What sobered up
My precious heart
As you tore it out

For those reasons, I decided to keep all artificial lights off - with the exception of some emergency lights to avoid complete darkness - and to only let natural light illuminate the interiors. As this made the place appear quite desolate, I found it interesting to imagine someone being onboard, alone…
