NORTH KOREA | CYCLING THROUGH THE STREETS OF PYONGYANG
It could be said that Pyongyang City is a comfortable city for cyclists, many Pyongyang people use bicycles as the main means of transportation for short to long distances. In this video, I take you to enjoy the atmosphere of Pyongyang city in winter, by cycling. Thank you and happy watching.
On Wikipedia, it is written that cycling cycling has become a common mode of transport in North Korea since its economic transition in the early 1990s.
A ban on bicycles in the country's capital and largest city, Pyongyang, in existence for decades, was suddenly lifted in 1992, and according to Andrei Lankov, bicycles have since "proliferated" and their use has "visibly increased" in other urban areas. However, their price, meager by international standards, still puts them out of reach of a signifi...

'It was like war': North Korea v South Korea ends in goalless draw
It was the first time that the teams had met in North Korea for 30 years, although the game was played out with no fans, no media and sadly no goals.

The game in Pyongyang ended in a 0-0 draw. Speaking after returning to South Korea, captain and Tottenham star Son Heung-min said: 'To be honest, the game was so tough that I think we were very lucky already to be back with no one injured.'

Kim Jong-un strongly rebukes officials for building Pyongyang hospital 'in careless manner'
You can watch this video at https://koreanow.com
Just after we uploaded a video on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's disappearance that has frequently happened so far, Kim appeared in public on consecutive days.
The Korean Central News Agency reported Monday that Kim Jong-un inspected the construction site of a general hospital in Pyongyang, one of his top-priority projects he has vowed to complete by Oct. 10, which is the 75th founding anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party.

STORYLINE:
North Korea's premier league football players shrugged off the hangover of Monday's 7-0 defeat by Portugal to get back to routine training on Tuesday morning in Pyongyang.
Kigwancha, which means "railway" in English, is one of the ten teams in North Korea's premier league.
APTN North Korea filmed the team training at the Yanggakdo Stadium in Pyongyang, which is where the North Korean national team played a World Cup qualifier against Iran last year.
Kigwancha players had all watched the North Korea-Portugal match live on television on Monday night but didn't seem discouraged by the result.
Kigwancha winger Son Chung Il said it was "regretful" that North Korea let in so many goals in the match against Portugal, but he looked forward to his country's team getting another chance to take down their nemesis Portugal in the future.
Portugal beat North Korea 5-3 in the 1966 World Cup, which was the only other time that North Korea has made it to the international football championship. The North Koreans had at one stage held a 3-0 lead before succumbing to a team spearheaded by the famous striker Eusebio.
The Kigwancha team was founded in 1956, and it is one of the fixtures of the North Korean premier league. It has never been relegated.
North Korean football runs a premier league, a second league, and a third league.
Many North Korean fans say that the strongest teams in the premier league are the April 25th team, and the Sobaeksu, and Rimyongsu teams.
Eleven of the players in the 23-strong North Korean World Cup squad this year come from these three teams.
Other strong teams are the Pyongyang City team, and the Amrokgang team. Eight of their players are in the World Cup squad.
Every year two teams from each league can move up or down.

However, their price, meager by international standards, still puts them out of reach of a significant portion of the populace.[1] A modest infrastructure, including bicycle lanes and bicycle parking, has likewise developed.[3] Foreign and domestic bicycles are available, with used Japanese models particularly coveted.
Cyclists must reportedly obtain a license by passing a road safety test, and must register bicycles and display a corresponding tag as proof, though the law is often flouted outside the capital. Conflicting reports exist that women are, or have been, banned from riding bicycles, with some claiming the ban to be a personal edict of Kim Jong-il; however, female cyclists are a common sight in North Korea's large cities, indicating this law, too, if it ever existed, is widely ignored.
