Peculiar Pyongyang - North Korea (DPRK) 4k -Time lapse -Tilt- shift
Pyongyang is by far the weirdest and strangest place I have ever been to. At the same time it's also one of the the most interesting and intriguing places and unlike anywere else I have ever been to. You go there with 100 questions and you return with 1000!
While I have no support for the government there, many things could be said at this point about North Korea, but I really do not want to get involved in politics here, so please do your own research.
Many thanks to Simon Cockerell and Jessica Mader from Koryo Tours ( https://koryogroup.com ) and Ri So Hyang, Kim Sun Mi, Lee Song Hyok, Kim Yong Un from KITC for arranging permissions and making this project possible.

A Postcard from Pyongyang - Traveling through North Korea secretly filming (Documentary, 2019)
Filmmakers Gregor Möllers and Anne Lewald visit North Korea in 2013 for the 60th anniversary of the end of the Korean War and again in 2017 for the Pyongyang Marathon as foreign tourists. Using secret recordings, they register their impressions of the notoriously closed country’s propaganda and their interactions with its people.

Shot during two trips to North Korea in 2013 and 2017, filmmakers Gregor Möllers and Anne Lewald provide a rare glimpse of change in the notoriously closed country. As foreign tourists, they are not allowed autonomy or spontaneity, and their itinerary is arranged for them in advance by guides who chaperone them everywhere. Despite these limitations the Berliners find a way to register their impressions of a city...

World's Most Bizarre Airline - North Korea's Air Koryo
The flying experience on North Korea’s “one-star airline” Air Koryo is completely different from any other airline! You can fly this airline and visit a museum at the same time! But are they really bizarre and terrible?
I share my experience of flying Air Koryo on their Soviet Ilyushin IL-62, Ilyushin IL-18 and modern Tupolev 204 and Antonov 148 aircraft. It actually has more leg room and the seats are wider than most other airlines, customer service may be better than United or RyanAir. There are free food and drinks for everyone. It is definitely an exotic experience you don't want to miss!
The aviation tour to North Korea has given us the opportunity to visit many parts of the country including the sacred Mount Paektu near Samjiyon. I share some of the first hand insights about the ...

Inside Pyongyang: Rare state-guided tour of North Korea | 60 Minutes Australia
North Korea is the world’s last belligerent stronghold for old-style communism. Led by Kim Jong-un, it remains a secretive and seemingly trigger-happy regime that makes it next to impossible for western media outlets to visit. Subscribe here: http://9Soci.al/chmP50wA97J Full Episodes here http://9Soci.al/sImy50wNiXL Correspondent Tom Steinfort was invited inside North Korea for a rare state guided tour of this bizarre state. He was tracked, watched, and likely listened to, as he was given the propaganda tour, and introduced to dozens of “happy” North Koreans. All the while, a strange foreigner did his best to sell the “benefits” of North Korea.

Pyongyang Hosts Its First Beer Festival
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) held its first ever beer festival in the capital Pyongyang on Friday drawing more than 800 residents, tourists, and foreign guests.
The opening ceremony began at 19:00 on the pier of the Taedong River, one of Pyongyang's most famous landmarks, with performances, and free beer served for the visitors.
The fried chicken and beer combo remained the favorite of the evening crowd.
The event, which will last for about 20 days, is reportedly held to promote Taedonggang beer, Pyongyang's own brew and the most popular brand of beer in the country.
The beer, named after the Taedong River that runs through the capital is a full-bodied lager a little on the sweet side, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.
"It is great. This is one of the best be...

Despite these limitations the Berliners find a way to register their impressions of a city lacking authenticity, a country longing for reunification and a people shaped by Juche beliefs and socialist propaganda. In a society steeped in obfuscation and spectacle, where deception is necessary for perception and expression, the filmmakers themselves must play a double role, secretly recording without permission while also genuinely relating to their hosts. By blending travelogue and espionage, A POSTCARD FROM PYONGYANG captures what happens when you rely solely on what you see, not what you’re told, and reveals what Kim Jong-Un’s regime doesn’t want foreigners to see… reality.
DIRECTOR BIOGRAPHIES
Gregor Möllers is a filmmaker, producer and editor. With his Berlin-based film production company EASYdoesit GmbH, he has been producing music videos and commercials for international musicians and brands for over six years.
Anne Lewald is an art and cultural scientist and M.A. scenographer with a focus on scenic staging in space. As concept and art director, she has been responsible for the creative and conceptual development of film and video productions as well as international exhibitions for several years. She is responsible for the script and direction of A POSTCARD FROM PYONGYANG. A POSTCARD FROM PYONGYANG is their first documentary.

I share some of the first hand insights about the country, the tour guide, accommodation and food.
The video also covers North Korea’s first Air Show; Wonsan AirShow. It was the most exotic airshow I've ever attended with a lineup of rare Soviet vintage fleet of Air Koryo and North Korean Air Force, many joy flights on Air Koryo, and the possibility to meet with North Koreans freely at the airshow.

There is a gigantic, mysterious hotel in North Korea that has been empty for more than 30 years. What is the 'Hotel of Doom' all about? Will it ever welcome a guest?

This is one of the best beers," said a Pyongyang resident.
"This is world class beer. It is great. We have our leadership to thank for being able to drink to our hearts' content today," said another resident.
The festival will continue on the Taedonggang cruise boat every night until late this month.
