TROLL BRIDGE | The Moving Picture
Cohen the Barbarian was angry. Angry that he never died in battle, angry that the world had forgotten him, and angry that his knees were starting to play up in the cold.
He was also angry that his faithful mount had been gifted the ability of magical speech. The horse was insisting that they had made a wrong turn back at Slice.
He was also angry that the horse was probably right.
This was not how it was supposed to end for the barbarian. This was not how the Discworld’s greatest hero imagined it at all.
--------
TROLL BRIDGE is a love-letter to Terry Pratchett and Discworld. It exists because an awful lot of people thought it ought to.
The film is adapted from the short story 'Troll Bridge', published in the anthology 'A Blink of the Screen': https://discworld.com/?s=blink+of+the+scr...

If fiction were a material, we would be its manufacturing plant. We take apart stories to see what makes them tick, then recycle what we find to create our own.
Because understanding how fiction works is complicated and making use of that knowledge is even harder, we like to stretch our topics across three-part series. We create an analytical starter episode, a list full of interesting facts and ideas, and end with a short story that makes use of everything we learned.

It's in a stroke of a brush It's in the wave of a hand And a view so bright It turns the world And makes all right Yet seems to say, come what may You will be what you will With a brush stroke of fate You will have to think again If you touch by it all Lucky to be brushed by it all Than walk a crooked mile In a worn out smile That you found on the ground Somebody else threw it down Looks like that you're the next blessed in town It's in a verse that you read It's in the tune in your head That makes all light Turns your world Illuminates life And makes you see All the love within Is still yet to come out Like the word, as a bang You have to think again And get touched by it all Than walk in single file In a worn out smile That you found on the ground Somebody else threw it down Looks like you're the next blessed in town [Incomprehensible] So the word, as a bang You will have to think again Than walk in single file In a worn out smile That you found on the ground
