The PowerBook G4 is a series of notebook computers that were manufactured, marketed, and sold by Apple, Inc. (then Apple Computer, Inc) between 2001 and 2006 as part of its PowerBook line. It uses the PowerPC G4processor, initially produced by Motorola and later by Freescale, after Motorola spun off its semiconductor business under that name in 2004. The PowerBook G4 had two different designs: one enclosed in a titanium body with a translucent black keyboard and a 15-inch screen; and another in an aluminum body with an aluminum-colored keyboard, in 12-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch sizes.
Between 2001 and 2003, Apple produced the titanium PowerBook G4; between 2003 and 2006, the aluminum models were produced. Both models were hailed for their modern design, long battery life, and processing power. When the aluminum PowerBook G4s were first released in January 2003, however, only 12-inch and 17-inch models were available. The 15-inch retained the titanium body until September 2003, when a new aluminum 15-inch PowerBook was released. In addition to the change from titanium to aluminum, the new 15-inch model featured a FireWire 800 port, which had been included with the 17-inch model since its debut nine months earlier.
I pull a PowerBook G4 out of storage, tear it down, and do some preventative maintenance while discussing its place in history and the modern world.

The 12" PowerBook G4 is what the MacBook Air should have been
In this video we'll talk about one of the best Apple laptops of all time: The 12 inch PowerBook G4, also known as Little Al. This thing was a breakthrough in laptop design back in 2003, and its merits are still relevant today. So how does this 16 year old laptop influence modern day MacBooks? Not enough it would seem...

Here's why this 20 year old Mac looks like a new one
The PowerBook G4 Titanium is arguably the genesis of modern Apple design, featuring an array of modern aesthetics and features that don't look too far from what we're used to in 2022. This 21 year old laptop was a real game changer back in 2001, and today I'll go through some of the parallels to the modern world, both flaws and benefits!

Upgrading the 12 Inch PowerBook G4 to its limit - Max RAM and mSATA SSD!
In this video, we're upgrading the 1.5 Ghz final PowerBook G4 12 inch to its maximum 1.25GB of RAM and installing an mSATA SSD using the IDE enclosure we've had so much success with. We'll also see if we can figure out what's wrong with that darn latch. We'll then install 10.5 Leopard over FireWire.
I may or may not also ramble a bit about why I like this computer so much.

Does the new TenFiveTube make this Mac PowerBook G4 Titanium a viable YouTube machine in 2020?
Over on the MacRumors forums, user Wicknix has just released an update to his TenFiveTube app, which lets PowerPC Macs running 10.5 Leopard browse and watch YouTube! But how well does it work?
To find out, we'll upgrade our 867 Mhz PowerBook G4 Titanium from Tiger to Leopard, and give it a spin. This PowerBook is the oldest and slowest officially supported Mac laptop on Leopard, so will this actually be usable? Let's find out!

09:27 The PowerBook G4 in 2021
10:58 Conclusions
In this video we'll talk about one of the best Apple laptops of all time: The 12 inch PowerBook G4, also known as Little Al. This thing was a breakthrough in laptop design back in 2003, and its merits are still relevant today. So how does this 16 year old laptop influence modern day MacBooks? Not enough it would seem...

This PowerPC portable from the mid-2000s was petite yet powerful, and remains a popular machine among retro Mac collectors. But when the hard drive in mine started to fail, I had a choice to make.

Hi! Thanks to https://www.pcbway.com for sponsoring this video
Years before Apple released the titanium Apple Watch Ultra, they released a different titanium product, the original PowerBook G4 laptop.
Today we will look at what the made the TiBook special, and what made it need a total redesign after 3 short years.
We also will throw in a few upgrades and talk about a special task I have for it in the future.
Thanks for watching.

That wasn’t always a given, though ... And even after Jobs returned and introduced the iMac and iBook while revitalizing the Power Mac and Powerbook lines, the G3 and G4 still lagged behind PCs in most tasks.
Apple made the Powerbook G4 laptop made out of titanium between 2001 and 2003, It would be fair to say that the company would probably have worked with manufacturers to surpass the limitations of working with the metal in the years since. .
It’s common for suppliers to quietly tout their famous client as proof of technical prowess. Two other case studies show just how influential the US company is in clearing the way for rivals to ...
Done and done ... See, for a long time, a 15-inch Mac was my ideal computer, from the days of the first titanium-clad PowerBook G4 through the 15-inch MacBook ProApple sold a decade ago ... But the M2-powered, 15-inch Air brings me back to those days ... Model.
Rs 349,900 A design inspired by vintage PowerBook G4 You must be convinced I\u2019m obsessed with the Titanium PowerBook G4. The reason why I have mentioned my PowerBook G4 is that the new MacBook Pro resembles Apple\u2019s 22-year-old notebook a lot.
Compared to the PowerBook G4 that came before it, the MacBook Pro offered up to four times the performance thanks to the Intel Core Duo, the first dual-core processor in a Mac ... G4 totally lacked.
