It houses six floors of office space with shops and restaurants on the ground floor. The entrance to the offices is via a double height diagonal void through the ground and first floors of the building.
Construction
One Piccadilly Gardens opened in 2003 as part of the redevelopment of Piccadilly Gardens; the building was designed by Allies and Morrison and has large glazed facades behind a red brick grid.
Piccadilly Gardens is a green space in Manchester city centre, England, between Market Street and the edge of the Northern Quarter. Piccadilly runs eastwards from the junction of Market Street with Mosley Street to the junction of London Road with Ducie Street; to the south are the gardens and paved areas. The area was reconfigured in 2002 with a water feature and concrete pavilion by Japanese architect Tadao Ando.
History
Before 1755: The area was occupied by water-filled clay pits called the Daub Holes. The Lord of the Manor donated the site and the pits were replaced by a fine ornamental pond.
1755: Manchester Royal Infirmary was built here; the street it stood on was then called Lever's Row, which continued south-east as Piccadilly.
1763: Manchester Royal Lunatic Asylum was built next to the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Piccadilly (/ˌpɪkəˈdɪli/) is a road in the City of Westminster, London to the south of Mayfair, between Hyde Park Corner in the west and Piccadilly Circus in the east. It is part of the A4 road that connects central London to Hammersmith, Earl's Court, Heathrow Airport and the M4 motorway westward. St James's is to the south of the eastern section, while the western section is built up only on the northern side. At just under 1 mile (1.6km) in length, Piccadilly is one of the widest and straightest streets in central London.
Piccadilly has been a main road since at least medieval times, and in the middle ages was known as "the road to Reading" or "the way from Colnbrook". Around 1611 or 1612, a Robert Baker acquired land in the area and prospered by making and selling piccadills. Shortly after purchasing the land, he enclosed it and erected several dwellings, including his home, Pikadilly Hall. What is now Piccadilly was named Portugal Street in 1663 after Catherine of Braganza, wife of Charles II, and grew in importance after the road from Charing Cross to Hyde Park Corner was closed to allow the creation of Green Park in 1668. Some of the most notable stately homes in London were built on the northern side of the street during this period, including Clarendon House and Burlington House in 1664. Berkeley House, constructed around the same time as Clarendon House, was destroyed by a fire in 1733 and rebuilt as Devonshire House in 1737 by William Cavendish, 3rd Duke of Devonshire. It was later used as the main headquarters for the Whig party. Burlington House has since been home to several noted societies, including the Royal Academy of Arts, the Geological Society of London and the Royal Astronomical Society. Several members of the Rothschild family had mansions at the western end of the street. St James's Church was consecrated in 1684 and the surrounding area became St James Parish.
Piccadilly (Пикадили) is a Bulgarian supermarket chain based in Varna. Founded as a 51% foreign-owned company in 1995, it opened its first supermarket in Varna in 1994 and became 100% Bulgarian-owned in 2003. Piccadilly is known for its near-complete dominance of the market in Varna to the extent that it prevents large international chains such as Billa from opening new stores.
As of 2006, the company operates five supermarkets in Varna and two in Sofia (one in City Center Sofia and one in Mall of Sofia). Also there is one supermarket in Veliko Tarnovo and one in Burgas.A loyalty program, Piccadilly Club, was started in 2003.
Serbian firm "Delta Holding" bought 85% of the Piccadilly Chain Supermarket Firm in 2007. On Sep 12, 2007, two companies have signed the deal in Sofia. Delta will invest about 70 million Euros in Piccadilly and open 20 new stores which will hire about 1000 new employees. Purchasing Piccadilly is the first time that the Serbian capital is investing in an EU member state.
Manchester Piccadilly Local DROPS BOMBSHELL about Billy Moore and Charlie Veitch
I was street preaching in Manchester Piccadilly Gardens when Ross (who seemed like a nice guy) wanted to tell me about something that happened at foot locker in Manchester and he named Billy Moore. He also said some things about Charles Veitch and so I said again they seem like nice guys but I've got even better news to share in Manchester than they have and it's the gospel of Jesus! Watch the video to see how this all unfolded!

Is Piccadilly Gardens the Worst Public Space in the World?
Welcome to the heart of Manchester city centre - a wide open patch of land struggling to sort itself out. Piccadilly Gardens is not a city square, but it's certainly not a gardens. You can't sit here and enjoy some peace and quiet from the hectic city around you. You can't gather here in any decent number for celebrations, parades, protests or public speaking. It's hard to flow through on foot, and it doesn't invite you to sit down. It's surrounded by buses, tramlines and derelict retail units. And a fence. And it has a concrete wall. And it's never really been much better in the past either - from slurry pits to lunatic asylums, from ducking stools to suicide.

Is the Manchester Christmas Market worth a visit?
This is my second time checking out the Manchester Christmas Markets!
I’ve seen a ton of comments online saying it’s not worth it—same stalls every year, prices through the roof for food and drinks.
But honestly, both times I’ve seen so many happy faces—couples, families, friends—all having a good time, enjoying the food, drinks, and the atmosphere..
I think whether it's worth it really depends on what you’re looking to get out of it!
More than anything, I think the Christmas Markets are perfect for meeting up with friends after work or on the weekend. In winter, with the short days and cold weather, most people just want to head straight home. But the markets really bring some life and festive vibes to the streets, making it feel a...

Date... I wander around spreading mischief, assuring ENO members the best way to make an impact with the arts elite in Manchester is to belt out an aria in the open air asylum formerly known as PiccadillyGardens or the shanty town in St Peter’s Square.
