Paul Anthony Walsh (born 1 October 1962) is a former England international footballer who now works as a television pundit.
A pacey and skilful forward, he scored a total of 127 goals in 521 league games in a 17-year career in the Football League and Premier League; he also won five senior caps for England in an eleven-month international career beginning in June 1983. He began his career at Charlton Athletic, making his first team debut aged 16 in September 1979. He helped Charlton to win promotion out of the Third Division in 1980–81, and then won a place on the PFA Team of the Year in 1981–82. He moved from the Second Division into the First Division when Luton Town paid £400,000 to acquire his services in July 1982. He continued to impress, and was named as PFA Young Player of the Year in 1984. He moved to Liverpool for a £700,000 fee in May 1984, and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in his debut season for the club as Liverpool won the league title and the Football League Super Cup. He went on to struggle with injury at Anfield, though still managed to appear in losing finals of the 1984 FA Charity Shield, 1984 European Super Cup, 1985 European Cup, and 1987 Football League Cup, as well as help Liverpool to finish as runners-up in the league in 1984–85 and 1986–87.
Royseven didn’t meet in school or college like many other bands; they met through mutual friends- and an advert in a Dublin music magazine. Singer, Paul Walsh and guitarist Eamonn Barrett, advertised in Hot Press magazine for a drummer, they interviewed several but quickly decided on Darragh Oglesby. It was he who suggested keyboard player Paul O’Hara and when their first bass player Andrew (Drew) Kennedy (blancatransfer) left, Oglesby identified a replacement duo to bolster the line-up even more. So, bass player Bernard O’Neill and guitarist Sam Garland soon after completed the Royseven family and although they’d all been in bands before, this was the first time it felt right from the very first rehearsal
On 31 March 2014 Royseven disbanded after 11 years together.
Paul Steven Walsh (born 15 May 1955) is an English businessman. He was the chief executive of Diageo, the world's largest spirits group, for twelve years between 2000 and 2013.
Walsh was criticised in the press for what was seen as his excessive remuneration, but received admiration for his ability to build brands. He spent the majority of his career at Diageo and its precursor Grand Metropolitan. His most notable decision was the acquisition of the Seagram drinks company, which added Captain Morganrum and Crown RoyalCanadian whisky to Diageo's roster of brands.
Walsh's tenure in charge of Diageo closely mirrored his behaviour as head of the Pillsbury food business: selling off non-essential assets such as Burger King and aggressively marketing a select number of "core" brands. He was disciplined regarding prices paid for the acquisition of assets. Towards the end of his Diageo career, he increased the company's exposure to developing markets such as India and China.
Father Paul Walsh (Irish:An tAthair Pól Breathnach), (19 June 1885 – 18 June 1941) was an Irish priest and historian.
Life and career
Walsh was the eldest of the five sons and three daughters born to Michael Walsh and Brigid Gallagher of Ballina (aka Balliea), in the parish of Mullingar, County Westmeath. Educated locally, he spent a year at Mullingar's Christian Brothers school, and subsequently in 1900 to St. Finnian's College, Navan, where he studied for three years. Noted as a good student, Walsh achieved especial distinction in classics and mathematics. In autumn 1903 he became a student at St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, again achieving great distinction in subjects such as Irish, French, Italian and Philosophy.
Under the influence of Father Peter Yorke (1864–1925), Walsh became interested in many aspects of Irish culture. Tomás Ó Fiaich later commented that Walsh was one of "... a generation of students [at Maynooth] which was collectively able, multi-talented, committed and independent-minded", many of whom went onto achieve great distinction in many aspects of Irish life. However, his participation in a controversy concerning 'compulsory Irish' at the National University led to him been denied ordination at Maynooth; the ceremony instead took place at All Hallow's College, Dublin, on 24 June 1909. He was also forbidden to return to pursue postgraduate studies.
"You need only drive around some of our communities to see over the last several years, the last several decades, some of our communities have been in decline. The perception out there is that he's not actively involved in rebuilding communities and doing better for them."
"The first step when creating best practice standards for mobile web users is to understand what they actually need and want. This field trial is just one example of how the MWI is embracing users' views and applying this knowledge to create a user friendly environment."
"This thing came out of the blue, ... We wanted to ensure that there was no bad blood between fraternities."
"Better pricing and a stabilising ready-to-drink trend may give us the opportunity to improve on the net sales growth we achieved this year."
"In September, weather really influences sales, especially early-morning temperatures, ... When Mom steps out in the morning and feels that chill, it really makes a difference."
"The local power outages and structural damage can have a long-lasting effect, but it isn't wide-reaching,"
"We have made a good start to the year and we can maintain our full year guidance of 6 percent organic operating profit growth despite absorbing an increase in the cost of executing additional productivity initiatives in the second half,"
"We believe we got a good price for these assets, ... comfortably ahead of where people thought we'd be."
"Weather forecasts have always triggered retail sales."
"Katrina was a hurricane on steroids. For the rest of the year, the pre-hurricane effect -- now renamed the ?Katrina effect? -- will have a bigger impact on consumers that usual."

[Matthew 7: 13-23]
"13 Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14 For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. 15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits. 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’"
