He first appeared in a.k.a. Pablo, a sitcom produced by ABC, but the show was canceled after seven episodes. In 1988 Rodriguez replaced Bob Eubanks as host of The Newlywed Game and lasted one season before cancellation. During his tenure as host, the show began using the 1958 song "Book of Love", by The Monotones, as a theme song. He later hosted a Friday nighttime television show called El Show de Paul Rodriguez that was broadcast on Univision from March 2, 1990 to January 1, 1993.
From 2010 to 2011, Rodriguez hosted two seasons of the MTV Tr3́s comedy home video series Mis Videos Locos. The reality show features video footage of Latino people from various countries who are filmed by devices such as surveillance cameras and mobile phones.
Paul Rodriguez, Jr. (born December 31, 1984), also known by his nickname P-Rod, is an American professional street skateboarder and actor. Rodriguez has won a total of eight medals at the X Games, four of them gold, with the most recent first place victory occurring in Los Angeles, United States (U.S.) in July 2012. P-rod is a father and had a big impact on the skate scene.
Early life
Tarzana, California, U.S., Rodriguez's nickname was given to him by his classmates when he was around eleven years of age.
P-Rod, at twelve years of age, Rodriguez received his first skateboard as a Christmas gift from mom Laura Martinez and actor/comedian father Paul Rodriguez; Rodriguez had seen a group of skateboarders at his new school and was immediately fascinated by "how they kept their board to their feet and how they could flip it." Rodriguez said in June 2014: "I got money, got myself a board, and it was game over."
In an interview with skateboard photographer Giovanni Reda, Rodriguez recounted a vivid memory of his early life as the son of a celebrity:
