Pat King (born Fraserburgh, near Aberdeen, Scotland) After attending Art College for a few years he turned his attention to music and played in several local bands in Aberdeen before moving to London. He played briefly with The Luvvers, the former Lulu backing group before eventually joing and band called Trifle, which at one time became Lulu's backing group on occasion. After a stint as a croupier at the London Playboy club he joined a band called Shanghai featuring Mick Green, Cliff Bennett, Pete Kircher and Brian Alterman. He also did lots of session work, most notably on the early hits of Billy Ocean: Love really Hurts Without You - Red Light Spells Danger: L.O.D. ( Love on Delivery )etc. He is best known as the bass guitar player for Manfred Mann's Earth Band between 1977 and 1982. He featured on the albums Watch, Angel Station and Chance, and was the replacement for founder member Colin Pattenden who left the band in 1977. Although leaving the band himself in 1982, he has still retained close links and from 1991 to 2013 was the band's lighting designer until retiring in December 2013. He now lives in Andalucia where he keeps active with his hobby, photography, and participates in a local chirigota group, and as a DJ with a hip hop band. Patrick "Pat" King (1947 – 13 April 2015) was an IrishGaelic footballer who played as a full-back for the Tyrone senior team.
Born in Trillick, County Tyrone, King first excelled at Gaelic football in his youth. He made his big impression on the inter-county scene as a member of the Tyrone senior team in the 1970s. During his career he won one Ulster medal.
In retirement from playing Kingb became involved in team management and coaching. At club level he served as manager of the Lisnaskea senior team while he also took charge of the Fermanagh senior team.
