Reckless people do backflips off Tower Bridge into the River Thames as UK heatwave continues
People react to extreme UK weather with backflips off Tower Bridge. Daredevil bridge jumpers have risked their lives and thrown themselves into a busy stretch of London's River Thames, as temperatures rise across the country and people try to deal with the extreme uk weather. In a video shared on social media, four men in swimming trunks can be seen leaping and somersaulting from Tower Bridge. They fall 30ft into the usually busy waterway as the sun went down over the capital, in a life-risking stunt. In the video, which shows the jump from multiple angles, onlookers stand on the busy London bridge, as the group leap from the railings.

Dark Tales from the River Thames
The River Thames flows for 215 miles from the Cotswolds to the Thames Estuary, and it’s one of England’s flagship sights. The name Thames comes from the old English word Temisis, meaning dark one, and this river's history is every bit as dark as that of the land it runs through.

The River Thames flows for 215 miles from the Cotswolds to the Thames Estuary, and it’s one of England’s flagship sights. The name Thames comes from the old English word Temisis, meaning dark one, and this river's history is every bit as dark as that of the land it runs through.
