Northamptoni/nɔːˈθæmptən/ is the county town of Northamptonshire in the East Midlands of England. It lies on the River Nene, about 67 miles (108km) north-west of London and 50 miles (80km) south-east of Birmingham. One of the largest towns in the UK, Northampton had a population of 212,100 in the 2011 census.
Northampton's royal connection languished in the modern period; the town supported Parliament (the Roundheads) in the English Civil War, which culminated in King Charles II ordering the destruction of the town walls and most of the castle. The town also suffered the Great Fire of Northampton (1675) which destroyed most of the town. It was soon rebuilt and grew rapidly with the industrial development of the 18th century. Northampton continued to grow following the creation of the Grand Union Canal and the arrival of the railways in the 19th century, becoming an industrial centre for footwear and leather manufacture.
Two and possibly three vessels with the name Northampton have served the British East India Company (EIC).
Northampton, launched in November 1740, made one voyage in 1741 for the EIC and was on a second voyage in 1744 when she foundered.
Northampton was launched in 1801. She made eight voyages to India as an extra (chartered) ship for the EIC between 1801 and 1819. During the same period she made one separate trip transporting convicts from Britain to New South Wales.
Lloyd's List reported that Northampton, Bagwell, master, had arrived at Gravesend on 26 February 1740 from the East Indies.Lloyd's List further reported that Bagwell and Northampton sailed for China on 14 March 1740 from Portsmouth.
Northampton is the 6th album and 2nd official live album for Enter the Haggis. It became available May 4, 2007. It is the third album on their current label, UFO Music (United for Opportunity), and was produced by the band and Zach McNees.
The album was recorded entirely live at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Massachusetts on March 9 and 10, 2007.
The band had performed at Iron Horse Music Hall several times in the past, and so could count on sold out shows. Four shows were scheduled, two each night. The first three shows featured identical set lists, which became the album tracks listed below. Since satisfactory recordings of all songs were obtained the first three shows, the band was able to play some other songs the fourth show.
CDs were just sold at concert venues before the official release date of June 5, 2007. It is now available through usual channels, including the iTunes Store.

Northampton is a town in England’s East Midlands region.
One of the largest towns in the country yet to receive city status, Northampton is home to an array of popular amenities and is easily reachable from a number of areas, wedged between the East Midlands and Buckinghamshire and overhanging the M1 motorway, making it a top destination for commuters and leisure travellers .
Northampton is the perfect combination of bustling urban life and peaceful countryside. There are plenty of green spaces to explore just outside of the town such as Sywell Country Park, Coton Manor Gardens, and Haddonstone Show Gardens, and stunning landscapes for walks and days outside.
Situated in the heart of England, Northampton is a town famous for its shoe industry that goes back hundreds of years in history. During the 1st World war, the shoemakers in Northamptonshire supplied over two-thirds of the 70 million pairs of footwear required, due to the thriving tanning industry in the area.
Northampton offers an array of shopping centres and shops, including independent retailers and major high street names.
Monday is fresh fruit, vegetables, cut flowers and plants only. Tuesday to Saturday are the general market days.
