In January 1776 it became the first of the British North American colonies to establish a government independent of the Kingdom of Great Britain's authority and it was the first to establish its own state constitution. Six months later, it became one of the original 13 states that founded the United States of America, and in June 1788 it was the ninth state to ratify the Constitution, bringing that document into effect.
Concord is the state capital, while Manchester is the largest city in the state. It has no general sales tax, nor is personal income (other than interest and dividends) taxed at either the state or local level. It is known for the New Hampshire primary, the first primary in the U.S. presidential election cycle. Its license plates carry the state motto, "Live Free or Die". The motto comes from a statement written by the Revolutionary War general John Stark, hero of the Battle of Bennington. The state's nickname, "The Granite State", refers to its extensive granite formations and quarries.
The 2001 New Hampshire 300 was a NASCARWinston Cup race held at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The race was originally scheduled for September 16, but was postponed to November 23 due to the September 11 attacks of that year. New Hampshire was the season finale as a result.
Summary
NASCAR did not want to cancel the event, but there were no scheduled off weeks from the September 16 date, so NASCAR's only option was November 23–25, the Thanksgiving weekend. The postponement would be a challenge for Goodyear, as they were not expecting a New Hampshire race in November. Goodyear brought a tire they hoped would suit the cold conditions. NBC carried the broadcast live except for the Pacific Coast, which was on tape delay to allow the third hour of Today.
The race saw Robby Gordon, driving the #31 Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing, pick up his first career win. The race was also known to be the last race to have 42 cars or less until the 2014 Quaker State 400, with both races having 42 cars. 14% of this race was held under caution flag while the average green flag run was considered to be 32 laps.
NH 16 is the main road connecting the Seacoast region to the Lakes Region and the White Mountains. The section north of the Spaulding Turnpike is called the White Mountain Highway.
From Milton, NH 16 continues north, roughly paralleling the Maine border. In Wakefield, the road takes a turn to the northwest heading towards Ossipee. NH 16 turns back to a northerly heading near Tamworth, then makes a turn eastward in Albany to reach Conway. NH 16 turns north again in Conway, entering the region known as the Mount Washington Valley, and begins a concurrency with US 302 at the south end of the village of North Conway. North of North Conway, in Bartlett, the southern NH 16A loop departs and rejoins NH 16 / US 302 before the road makes a westward hook.
A racing game where the main character is the greed. Several cars battle each other on maze-like rooms trying to get the money bags and avoiding the dangers. In this game, everybody cares just about the money, showing that the money is the "route" of all evil.
Gameplay
The player controls a car which must explore a maze divided into sixteen rooms. He or she must get all the money bags while avoiding the opposite cars and trying not to run out of fuel. Every time the player goes out of a room, a map is shown, indicating the position of every car and all the money bags. There are also flags that can be driven over to invert the roles, so the player can crash the opposite cars and stop them for a few seconds, while getting bonus points.
Route-16 Turbo
Route-16 Turbo(ルート16ターボ,Rūto 16 Tābo) is an improved version of Route-16. It is also the Famicom port, which was developed and published on October 4, 1985 by Sunsoft only in Japan. This game features four swastikas in one of the rooms; in Japan this symbol does not carry the same negative connotations it has in the West.
Vermont Route16 is a state highway in northern Vermont, United States. The route is 28 miles (45km) long and connects Hardwick to Westmore. It begins at VT15 in Hardwick and heads northward to U.S. Route5 in Barton. From Barton, it heads eastward to VT5A in Westmore. The portion of VT16 east of US5 is town-maintained and signed east-west. The remainder of the route is signed north-south.
West of Barton, the road used to be part of New England InterstateRoute 12. The segment of VT16 from Barton to Westmore was once Vermont Route56.
Route description
Vermont Route 16 begins at an intersection with Vermont Route 15 in the town of Hardwick, about two miles (3km) east of the town center. It proceeds north about 1.7 miles (2.7km) to the village of East Hardwick, roughly paralleling the path of the Lamoille River upstream. It continues for several miles through the Lamoille River valley into the village of Greensboro Bend within the town of Greensboro. As VT 16 continues north, it soon passes by Horse Pond, the source of the Lamoille River, clipping the town of Wheelock briefly before returning to Greensboro. After about a mile, VT 16 enters the town of Glover, passing through a mountain pass within the Black Hills, soon reaching Clarks Pond, the source of the Barton River. VT 16, now known as Dry Pond Road then follows the Barton River downstream as it continues its northward journey. Several miles later, still following the Barton river, VT 16 meets its first major intersection, Vermont Route 122, about a mile and a half south of Glover center. The road name changes to Glover Street at this point and continues towards Glover center.
New Hampshire Route 124 (abbreviated NH 124) is a 28.083-mile-long (45.195km) east–west highway in southern New Hampshire, United States. It runs from Marlborough to the Massachusetts border.
The western terminus of NH 124 is in Marlborough at New Hampshire Route 101. The road continues through Marlborough, a short section of Troy and enters the northwestern part of Jaffrey. The road skirts the southern slopes of Mount Monadnock, across Jaffrey, and into Sharon. In Sharon there is an historic marker on the northern side of the road marking the site of a gate that once collected tolls for the 3rd New Hampshire Turnpike, which followed much of the present-day route of NH 124. The road enters New Ipswich and continues through that town.
The eastern terminus of NH 124 is at the Massachusetts state line in Mason. The road continues into Massachusetts as Greenville Road in the town of Townsend.

As Election Day for the 2024 U.S. Presidential race unfolds, the country watches closely as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump make their final appeals to voters. Both candidates are focusing heavily on swing states like Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Michigan, where small voter shifts could determine the election outcome. Early voting has seen record participation, underscoring the high stakes and deep voter engagement. With polls indicating a tight race, the final hours of campaigning are intensifying, highlighting key issues like inflation, healthcare, and national security.
According to a new poll, Donald Trump is leading in all swing states. The seven swing states could hold the key to the final results and the poll’s outcome reflects a tight race in the November 5 election. The seven swing states are: Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Arizona.

Does everyone in New Hampshire hate people from Massachusetts?

We’ll answer those questions and talk about a lot more! So let’s hop in the car - but we don’t have to wear our belts! Cause we’re drive through and Unbox the state of New Hampshire!
Okay so this looks pretty charming. A neat little town tucked away into the forests. Before it got all screwed up. Of course, nowhere is perfect, and we’ll get to that, too.
New Hampshire sure doesn’t look like much, but it’s actually the 42nd most populous state. There’s actually big cities and stuff to do. I mean, it’s not ALL plaid flannel jacket wearing crotchety gun loving forest dwellers.
It’s beautiful. It’s safe. Kinda boring and very independent. To get a well-rounded view of this state, we need to look at the whole place and then visit each different area. Then we’ll know what New Hampshire is REALLY like.
This is New Hampshire. As you can see, most of the state is heavily forested with small towns scattered throughout, and most of the population and entertainment is on the southern end of the state. But we’re going to begin up here first. Northern New Hampshire is kinda like Alabama with snow.

Okay so this looks pretty charming. A neat little town tucked away into the forests. Watch live as the first votes are cast on Election Day 2024 in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.
Will Americans choose to return Republican Donald Trump to the White House? Or will voters elect Democrat Kamala Harris to be the nation's first female president?
#trump #kamalaharris #news #election2024
The first ballot has been cast in the US for the 2024 Presidential elections in New Hampshire's small township of Dixville Notch. Dixville Notch becomes the first place in the US to cast a ballot as the country goes into elections on November 5 and November 6. The township is located along the US-Canada border and sits at the northern tip of New Hampshire. It opened and closed its poll just after midnight ET in a tradition that dates back to 1960, CNN reported.
The place saw a split decision, recording three votes for Kamala Harris and three for former US President Donald Trump. This is in line with the national trends predicted for the two leaders through various polls in the country.

As Election Day kicked off, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump were tied in the first official votes cast in New Hampshire's midnight voting. The early results, though symbolic, set the stage for what is expected to be a highly competitive race in the key swing state. With both candidates neck-and-neck, New Hampshire remains a critical battleground in the 2024 presidential election.

I'm in my right mind when I awake Won't let my mind shake like a quake Don't roll like thunder in your heart Can't let change rearrange or tear you apart All they can think to do is starve and strive Takin' away life in order to survive How will hope have a chance to stay alive In the summer of 1999 Bring a new route I'm ready The world's still spinnin' in the air Man's still sittin' in despair I won't let 'em bring me down I'm gonna wait for the new day to come around
