New Covenant Theology is a recently expressed Christian theological view of redemptive history that claims that all Old Covenant laws have been cancelled in favor of the Law of Christ or New Covenant law of the New Testament. This can be summarized as the ethical expectation found in the New Testament. New Covenant Theology does not reject all religious law, they only reject Old Covenant law. NCT is in contrast with other views on Biblical law in that most other do not believe the Ten Commandments and Divine laws of the Old Covenant have been cancelled, and may prefer the term "supersessionism" for the rest.
A New Covenant was a political slogan used by U.S. PresidentBill Clinton to describe his political philosophy and agenda. The term was used sporadically during the 1992 campaign and Clinton's terms in office to describe a "new social compact" between the United States Government and its citizens.
In speech to the Democratic Leadership Council in May 1991, Clinton used the slogan "New Choice". He started publicly using the phrase "New Covenant" when he announced his candidacy for the Democratic Party's nomination on October 3, 1991. The phrase has been attributed to Clinton advisor William Galston.
Georgetown University Speeches
A New Covenant was the theme of a series of speeches given by then Governor Bill Clinton at his alma mater, Georgetown University, in late 1991 to outline his political philosophy at the start of his campaign for the presidency. In these talks, the "New Covenant" referred to both domestic and foreign policy. The titles of the speeches were "The New Covenant: Responsibility and Rebuilding the American Community" (October 23, 1991), "A New Covenant for Economic Change" (November 20, 1991), and "A New Covenant for American Security" (December 12, 1991).
Covenant theology (also known as Covenantalism, Federal theology, or Federalism) is a Calvinist conceptual overview and interpretive framework for understanding the overall flow of the Bible. It uses the theological concept of a covenant as an organizing principle for Christian theology. The standard form of covenant theology views the history of God's dealings with mankind, from Creation to Fall to Redemption to Consummation, under the framework of three overarching theological covenants: of redemption, works, and grace.
These three covenants are called theological because, though not explicitly presented as such in the Bible, they are thought of as theologically implicit, describing and summarizing the wealth of Scriptural data. Historical Reformed systems of thought treat covenant theology not merely as a point of doctrine or as a central dogma, but as the structure by which the biblical text organizes itself.
Covenant (Latter Day Saints), in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a sacred agreement between God and a person or group of people
Covenant of allegiance in Ahmadiyya Islam, which requires followers to fulfill the Ten Conditions of Bai'at
Covenant of Bahá'u'lláh, in the Bahá'í faith, two separate binding agreements between God and man
Greater Covenant, the covenant made between each Manifestation from God and his followers regarding the coming of the next Manifestation from God
Lesser Covenant, regarding the successorship of authority within the religion
Covenant theology, in Christianity interpretations of a covenant surrounding Jesus's death and resurrection
New Covenant Theology, a Christian theological position teaching that the Old Testament laws have been abrogated or cancelled with Jesus' crucifixion, and replaced with the Law of Christ of the New Covenant
New Covenant, a biblical interpretation often thought of as an eschatological Messianic Age or world to come and is related to the biblical concept of the Kingdom of God
Solemn League and Covenant, an agreement between the Scottish Covenanters and the leaders of the English Parliamentarians in 1643 during the First English Civil War

Covenant Theology's overemphasis on continuity leads to infant baptism, obligatory Sunday Sabbath observance, and a NT law of tithing.
Implications of belief in NEW Covenant Theology: 1) No Sunday Sabbath. 2) Christians are not under a law of tithing. 3) infant baptism is not valid 4) modern-day Israel is not an object of Bible prophecy. 5) the Mosaic law has no importance for sanctification. 6) In NT there is separation of church and state 7) no right for church to physically punish heretics 8) Christians are not under the Ten Commandments as a rule of life.

There is no single theological issue that is the cause of greater confusion among Christians than what the status of Israel is in the New Covenant. Christians are in the New Covenant ... In that, He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete.
It’s not an “unbiblical replacement theology doctrine,” 1) because it is biblical and 2) the premise itself is wrong, it’s not replacing anything, it’s a continuation and a fulfillment in the New Covenant.
Dismissing the New Covenant and Christ’s sacrifice on the cross as “Replacement theology” in order to garner blind support for a war is probably one of the sickest moves I’ve seen from Zionists..
God gave the church signs and seals of the covenant of grace ... Therefore, the “secondary doctrine” of baptism is that it is the sign of New Covenant membership. The theological name for baptism is Covenant Baptism.

The idea of a new covenant recalls Jeremiah 31.31 (38.31 in the Septuagint).‘The days are coming,’ declares YHWH, ‘when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.’.
