The Alien (Animorphs)
The Alien is the eighth book in the Animorphs series, written by K. A. Applegate. It is the first book narrated by Ax.
Plot
After destroying the Kandrona, the Animorphs assumed that they would see people freeing themselves of the Yeerks. They are disappointed until the day they take Ax to the cinema. A man's Yeerk is seen dying publicly. However, a Controller-policeman kills the free man.
The Animorphs take Ax to the school as Philip, Jake's cousin, and a Yeerk who controlled one of Jake's teachers is seen dying as well. Chapman appears, orders the students to leave, and kills the non-Controller teacher.
Jake and the other Animorphs become very angry with Ax because they feel betrayed. Innocent people are dying as a result of their actions. Ax retorts that they would not have destroyed the Kandrona had they known the consequences, to which Jake replies that he, Ax, still has a lot to learn about humans.
The next day, he meets with Marco to go to a bookshop in hopes that Ax would trust them if they trusted him. However, Marco forgets the money they collected for him to buy a book at home, so he and Ax go to Marco's house to pick it up.

Century (American band)
Century is an American metalcore band formed in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist/ArmsBendBack guitarist Carson Slovak. Century was originally conceived as a solo project, but later evolved into a complete band. Slovak writes all of Century's music, and designs all of the artwork and merchandise. In 2005 the band signed a contract with Tribunal Records. On February 7, 2006, Century released its first studio album, Faith and Failure through Tribunal Records. This album saw Carson Slovak as guitarist and producer joined by Mike Guiliano (guitar), Huggie (bass) and Grant McFarland (drums). Before the album was released, McFarland left to focus more on his current band This or the Apocalypse and was replaced by new drummer Matthew Smith.
In February 2009, it was announced that McFarland had rejoined the band, along with new additions: bassist Ricky Armellino (also of This or the Apocalypse), and additional guitarist Todd Mogle. The band has begun work on the follow-up to Black Ocean, which was released in April 2008.

Century (book)
Originally published in 1999 by Phaidon Press, Century is a coffee table book that is equal parts photography and history. In the words of the author, Century is "an attempt to outline the history of the twentieth century as the camera has seen it."
The book was both conceived and edited by Bruce Bernard (1928–2000), a picture editor for The Sunday Times Magazine and a number of books on art and photography, including Photodiscovery. He curated 100 Photographs at the Victoria and Albert Museum. A book of which was published by Phaidon.

Nuneaton and Bedworth
Nuneaton and Bedworth is a local government district with borough status, in northern Warwickshire, England, consisting of the densely populated towns of Nuneaton and Bedworth, the village of Bulkington and the green belt land in between. It has a population of just over 120,000.
It borders the Warwickshire districts of Rugby to the east, and North Warwickshire to the west. To the south it borders the county of West Midlands, and to the north Leicestershire.
As of the most recent local election, Labour had majority control of the council.
History
The Nuneaton and Bedworth district was created on 1 April 1974 by the Local Government Act 1972. It was from the merger of the municipal borough of Nuneaton and the urban district of Bedworth (which included Bulkington). The new district was originally named just "Nuneaton"; however, objections from Bedworth residents led to it being renamed "Nuneaton & Bedworth" in 1980.
Nuneaton had gained the status of a municipal borough in 1907, and Bedworth had gained the status of an urban district in 1928. In 1938, Bulkington became part of the Bedworth Urban District. Borough status was conferred upon the new district of Nuneaton and Bedworth on 15 November 1976.

When Ash (Ian Holm) tries to sever the alien off Kane (John Hurt), the blood that gushes out burns a hole in the ship.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
"In space, no one can hear you scream." A close encounter of the third kind becomes a Jaws-style nightmare when an alien invades a spacecraft in Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror classic. On the way home from a mission for the Company, the Nostromo's crew is woken up from hibernation by the ship's Mother computer to answer a distress signal from a nearby planet. Capt. Dallas's (Tom Skerritt) rescue team discovers a bizarre pod field, but things get even stranger when a face-hugging creature bursts out of a pod and attaches itself to Kane (John Hurt). Over the objections of Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), science officer Ash (Ian Holm) lets Kane back on the ship. The acid-blooded incubus detaches itself from an apparently recovered Kane, but an alien erupts from Kane's stomach and escapes. The alien starts stalking the humans, pitting Dallas and his crew (and cat) against a malevolent killing machine that also has a protector in the nefarious Company.

Aliens is a 1986 American science fiction action horror film written and directed by James Cameron, produced by Gale Anne Hurd, and starring Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, William Hope, and Bill Paxton. Aliens (1986) is the sequel to the 1979 film Alien and the second installment in the Alien franchise. The film follows Weaver's character Ellen Ripley as she returns to the planet where her crew encountered the hostile Alien creature, this time accompanied by a unit of space marines.
Gordon Carroll, David Giler, and Walter Hill of Brandywine Productions, who produced the first film and the later sequels, were executive producers of Aliens. They were interested in a follow-up to Alien as soon as its 1979 release, but the new management at 20th Century Fox postponed those plans until 1983. That year Brandywine picked Cameron to write after reading his script for The Terminator; when that film became a hit in 1984, Fox greenlit Aliens with Cameron as director and a budget of approximately $18 million. The script was written with a war film tone influenced by the Vietnam War to contrast the horror motifs of the original Alien. It was filmed in England at Pinewood Studios and at a decommissioned power plant in Acton, London.
Aliens grossed $180 million worldwide. Aliens (1986) was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Sigourney Weaver, winning both Sound Effects Editing and Visual Effects. Aliens (1986) won eight Saturn Awards, including Best Science Fiction Film, Best Actress for Weaver and Best Direction and Best Writing for Cameron. Aliens is considered one of the best films in its genre.

They were interested in a follow-up to Alien as soon as its 1979 release, but the new management at 20th Century Fox postponed those plans until 1983. That year Brandywine picked Cameron to write after reading his script for The Terminator; when that film became a hit in 1984, Fox greenlit Aliens with Cameron as director and a budget of approximately $18 million. The script was written with a war film tone influenced by the Vietnam War to contrast the horror motifs of the original Alien. It was filmed in England at Pinewood Studios and at a decommissioned power plant in Acton, London.
Aliens grossed $180 million worldwide. Aliens (1986) was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Sigourney Weaver, winning both Sound Effects Editing and Visual Effects. Aliens (1986) won eight Saturn Awards, including Best Science Fiction Film, Best Actress for Weaver and Best Direction and Best Writing for Cameron. Aliens is considered one of the best films in its genre.

In this series, we’re going to cover the intriguing history of science in medieval Europe. Medieval science is a subject that’s vital in understanding the great achievements of the scientific revolution yet is despite that is often forgotten in popular history. This is the story of the precarious survival of classical learning in the dark ages and early middle ages as well as the rise of the universities and the translation movements in the high middle ages.
In this video, we will continue our discovery of the history of science in the medieval period by covering the twelfth century renaissance in Europe. This will include the birth of the European urban schools, the medieval translation movement as well as the rise of the medieval university. I hope you learn something new about medieval history and the history of science from this medieval science documentary series.

An Alien Gargoyle on a historic 12th Century Scottish Abbey has caused a social media sensation with its resemblance to the monster from the Alien films.
In 2013 someone took a photograph of the out of place feature and it became hugely popular on social media, and there was good reason for it.
In 2018 the Alien gargoyle Image was once again being talked about on social media due to an update on the Abbey’s facebook page.
Any Sci-Fi movie fan will instantly recognize the familiar design of the alien looking gargoyle, which has a striking similarity to the creature in all of the Alien movies with Sigourney weaver.
Paisley Abbey is located in the town of Paisley in Scotland, the town was a significant religious center in the 12th century, thanks to the construction of Paisley Abbey which still stands proudly today.

When Ash (Ian Holm) tries to sever the alien off Kane (John Hurt), the blood that gushes out burns a hole in the ship.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
"In space, no one can hear you scream." A close encounter of the third kind becomes a Jaws-style nightmare when an alien invades a spacecraft in Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror classic. On the way home from a mission for the Company, the Nostromo's crew is woken up from hibernation by the ship's Mother computer to answer a distress signal from a nearby planet. Capt. Dallas's (Tom Skerritt) rescue team discovers a bizarre pod field, but things get even stranger when a face-hugging creature bursts out of a pod and attaches itself to Kane (John Hurt). Over the objections of Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), science officer Ash (Ian Holm) lets Kane back on the ship. The acid-blooded incubus detaches itself from an apparently recovered Kane, but an alien erupts from Kane's stomach and escapes. The alien starts stalking the humans, pitting Dallas and his crew (and cat) against a malevolent killing machine that also has a protector in the nefarious Company.

Aliens is a 1986 American science fiction action horror film written and directed by James Cameron, produced by Gale Anne Hurd, and starring Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, William Hope, and Bill Paxton. Aliens (1986) is the sequel to the 1979 film Alien and the second installment in the Alien franchise. The film follows Weaver's character Ellen Ripley as she returns to the planet where her crew encountered the hostile Alien creature, this time accompanied by a unit of space marines.
Gordon Carroll, David Giler, and Walter Hill of Brandywine Productions, who produced the first film and the later sequels, were executive producers of Aliens. They were interested in a follow-up to Alien as soon as its 1979 release, but the new management at 20th Century Fox postponed those plans until 1983. That year Brandywine picked Cameron to write after reading his script for The Terminator; when that film became a hit in 1984, Fox greenlit Aliens with Cameron as director and a budget of approximately $18 million. The script was written with a war film tone influenced by the Vietnam War to contrast the horror motifs of the original Alien. It was filmed in England at Pinewood Studios and at a decommissioned power plant in Acton, London.
Aliens grossed $180 million worldwide. Aliens (1986) was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Sigourney Weaver, winning both Sound Effects Editing and Visual Effects. Aliens (1986) won eight Saturn Awards, including Best Science Fiction Film, Best Actress for Weaver and Best Direction and Best Writing for Cameron. Aliens is considered one of the best films in its genre.

In this series, we’re going to cover the intriguing history of science in medieval Europe. Medieval science is a subject that’s vital in understanding the great achievements of the scientific revolution yet is despite that is often forgotten in popular history. This is the story of the precarious survival of classical learning in the dark ages and early middle ages as well as the rise of the universities and the translation movements in the high middle ages.
In this video, we will continue our discovery of the history of science in the medieval period by covering the twelfth century renaissance in Europe. This will include the birth of the European urban schools, the medieval translation movement as well as the rise of the medieval university. I hope you learn something new about medieval history and the history of science from this medieval science documentary series.

An Alien Gargoyle on a historic 12th Century Scottish Abbey has caused a social media sensation with its resemblance to the monster from the Alien films.
In 2013 someone took a photograph of the out of place feature and it became hugely popular on social media, and there was good reason for it.
In 2018 the Alien gargoyle Image was once again being talked about on social media due to an update on the Abbey’s facebook page.
Any Sci-Fi movie fan will instantly recognize the familiar design of the alien looking gargoyle, which has a striking similarity to the creature in all of the Alien movies with Sigourney weaver.
Paisley Abbey is located in the town of Paisley in Scotland, the town was a significant religious center in the 12th century, thanks to the construction of Paisley Abbey which still stands proudly today.
