The operational functions (power generation, transmission, load dispatch and distribution) are no longer autonomous corporatized entities, but were reorganized into 18 geographically based directorates within MoE.

However, it says there are other mechanisms MPs can use to hold Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa accountable such as asking written or oral questions. This comes as more opposition parties are calling for the establishment of a parliamentary committee to exercise oversight over Ramokgopa.
