Milton Ager (October 6, 1893 – May 6, 1979) was an Americancomposer.
Biography
Ager was born in Chicago, Illinois, the sixth of nine children. Leaving school with only three years of formal high-school education, he taught himself to play the piano and embarked on a career as a musician. After spending time as an accompanist to silent movies, he moved to New York to write music. During World War I he served as a morale officer.
In 2007, a revue of Ager's music called Vampin' Lady opened in New Hope, Pennsylvania, performed by singer Joyce Moody under the direction of Earl Wentz and transferred to New York City as part of the American Composer Series.

Milton Ager, Jack Yellen - Happy Feet
The music was composed by Milton Ager and the lyrics came from Jack Yellen. The song appeared in the film "King Of Jazz" (1930) with the Paul Whiteman orchestra. There´s also a incredible dancing scene with Al "Rubber Legs" Norman.
This is my arrangement for piano of this famous jazz song. Enjoy!

This to me is a very interesting record. Issued on Broadway as by "The Golden Gate Orchestra", it appears the name on this occasion is not a pseudonym for the usual suspect, "The California Ramblers".
My original comments in this description alluded to the possibility that this was an "Original Memphis Five" group. Following exhaustive previous research and comments from Ralph Wondraschek, (which can be seen in their entirety in the comments below) I have now altered this description.
"Big Boy" is a familiar jazz tune to those who know the famous version by "the Wolverines" with Bix Beiderbecke on the Gennett label. Taken at a slower pace here, the band and soloists are certainly competent with well handled solos and a great finish.
Apparently, Broadway Records (Bridgeport Die and Machine Company) were beginning to source masters from the Plaza Music Company around this time, hence my original speculation of a Banner master. Unfortunately, this disc has no matrix, only the Broadway number overstamped on the original Domino master number.
Apologies for the rough start.
Recorded and processed from an original vintage 78 record by myself.
