Earl of Rosse (not to be confused with the Scottish Earl of Ross) is a title that has been created twice in the Peerage of Ireland; both times for the Parsons family.
The Parsons were originally an English family from Dishworth Grange in Leicestershire; there having been five brothers who settled in Ireland during the late 16th century. One of the brothers, William Parsons, was created a Baronet (Baronetage of Ireland) of Bellamont in the County of Dublin in 1620 by James VI & I. The third Baronet was created Viscount Rosse in Peerage of Ireland in 1681, and the second Viscount was created Earl of Rosse in the Peerage of Ireland in 1718; these titles of the first creation became extinct on the death of the second Earl in 1764.
Michael Parsons (born November 26, 1984) was an Englishcricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played first-class cricket for Somerset. Parsons was born in Taunton.
Parsons began his career playing Second XI cricket in 2002, and made his most recent appearance in the competition in August 2006. In between he played occasional limited overs cricket, though he didn't get his debut first-class start until May 2005.
While Parsons made little contribution with the bat, his, and the rest of the team's, bowling against opponents Lancashire was expensive, as the match was played out to a draw.
Parsons would play County Cricket on one further occasion, against Derbyshire, where once again his performance was marked by his wild bowling and his inability, in the second innings, to attain a partnership long enough to secure the first of three consecutive scores of fifty or above for batting partner and namesake Keith Parsons.
Parsons attained one cap for the England Under-19 cricket team, representing the team in a defeat against South Africa Under-19s in August 2003. Since his exit from first-class cricket, Parsons has played one game for Minor Counties side Devon.
Parsons grew up in Legana, Tasmania. Nicknamed "Bristles", he was initially a talented basketball player, winning a basketball scholarship to Utah. Upon returning to Australia he played for the Launceston Casino City in the National Basketball League. Most notably, he played at Launceston in the 1981 NBL Season, where they were league Champions. Parsons later moved to Adelaide to continue his studies, where he played for the West Adelaide Bearcats in the NBL.
Parsons later converted to Australian Rules Football, playing as a ruckman. He is best remembered in football circles for his Jack Oatey Medal winning performance in North Adelaide's 1987 SANFL Grand Final win. He was then recruited to Sydney with the tenth pick in the 1987 VFL Draft but struggled to make an impact in his three years, although he gathered three Brownlow Medal votes for his 23 disposal effort in a match against the West Coast Eagles midway through his first season. Parsons returned to North Adelaide in 1991 and finished the year as a member of another premiership team.
Hon. Desmond Oliver Martin Parsons (23 December 1938 – 16 July 2010), married Aline Edwina Macdonald, daughter of George Alexander Macdonald and had issue.

Our visit to Nymans House and Gardens (National Trust)
Set in the rolling hills of the Sussex Weald, Nymans is a gardener's delight, that brings us a little slice of England courtesy of a 19th-century German emigre.
The gardens, and the ruins of the house, are managed exquisitely by the National Trust, and bring seasonal colour to this beautiful location.
Our video will guide you from the entrance through various aspects of Nymans Gardens in late spring, when the wisteria is in full bloom. We'll look in what remains of the ruined house and as many of the gardens as we can fit in.
Thanks so much for watching, and we'd love to hear from you so please leave a comment and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any of our travels: 🟢-

The Carroll Foundation Trust and parallel Gerald 6th Duke of Sutherland Trust multi-billion dollar corporate identity theft offshore tax fraud case which is encircling the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales Lord Harry Woolf of Barnes has disclosed that two High Court Judges respectively the recently retired Sir David Eady and the Lady Justice Sharp are understood to be both seriously implicated in this case of international importance.
Sources have confirmed that the explosive FBI Scotland Yard “cross-border” criminal prosecution files contain a compelling evidential paper trail which surrounds the Sir David Eady and the Lady Justice Sharp “close links” with the “targeted” Withersworldwide and Goodman Derrick law firms trans-national crime syndicate who are known to have executed this massive bank fraud heist operation spanning the globe.
Scotland Yard leaked sources have disclosed that the former HM Treasury Permanent Secretaries Sir Peter Middleton and Lord Terence Burns are confronting major ongoing allegations of money laundering offshore tax fraud and bribery on an industrial scale. Sources have confirmed that the offences were committed during their tenure as the most senior civil servants at HM Treasury.
This source also said that Sir Peter Middleton later became Chairman of Barclays Plc whilst Lord Terence Burns assumed the role as Chairman of the Ofcom news media broadcasting regulatory authority which enabled them to effectively impulse the extended money laundering operation “targeted” at the Carroll Global Corporation Trust worldwide interests.
Well seasoned political observers in Westminster are known to have remarked that the current Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales Lord Ian Burnett of Maldon Essex will be a pivotal force behind the much needed conclusion to this sorry affair.

The Carroll Foundation Trust and parallel Gerald 6th Duke of Sutherland Trust multi-billion dollar corporate identity theft offshore tax fraud bribery case has disclosed that the First Senior Treasury Counsel Mark Heywood QC along with the First Treasury Counsel Sir James Eadie QC are confronting major criminal allegations of money laundering offshore tax fraud obstruction and bribery on an industrial scale in this case of international importance.
Sources have confirmed that the City of London law firm Slaughter & May former partner Lucy Wylde until quite recently was based at HM Treasury in the capacity as General Counsel reporting to Sir James Eadie QC during what is known to have been yet another bungled attempt to shield herself from criminal prosecution in this case spanning three continents.
Scotland Yard leaked sources have disclosed that the criminal “standard of proof” prosecution files have explicitly “named” the Slaughter & May former partner Lucy Wylde as Gerald Carroll’s personal legal adviser and consequently is universally regarded as a “central actor” in the co-ordinated break-up and fraudulent liquidation of major operating divisions of the Carroll Global Corporation Trust industrial empire.
UK Companies House leaked sources have said that Slaughter & May “in concert” with the PwC and Ernst & Young accounting firms fraudulently incorporated a bewildering array of twenty eight forged and falsified “name-switch dummy” Carroll Trust Corporations which were effectively utilised as a corporate diversionary smokescreen for the embezzlement of a staggering two hundred and fifty million dollars of the Carroll Foundation Trust huge treasury investment holdings.
In a stunning twist American and British media reports on the case have revealed that Scotland Yard continues to retain the “closely connected” Kent Police Service charge sheet files which concern Gerald Carroll’s multi-million dollar Eaton Square Belgravia penthouse and Westminster residences in central London which were the subject of multiple fraudulent seizure offences.
It is further understood that the dossiers contain a shocking forensic evidential paper trail surrounding the systematic break-ins burglaries and theft of the entire contents of the properties which included the priceless Oxford University Carroll Institute Trust US Anglo-Irish Scottish Russian national treasures collections.

May 17, 2022 | Olive Schreiner (1855-1920), a South African novelist, anti-war campaigner, and women’s rights activist, came early to the study of the thing we call progress. As a teenager, she was given a copy of Herbert Spencer’s First Principles (1862), and it came to dominate her thoughts in early years, influencing not only her freethinking regarding religion, but also her philosophy of history and the progress of humankind.
This talk will investigate some astronomical aspects of the basis of Spencer’s First Principles, steeped as it was in a contested and religiously inflected theory of the origins of planets and stars. It will ask how Schreiner’s lifelong attention to the Southern African sky in her novels functioned as a place of questioning and critique, from a colonial standpoint, of one of the foundational theories of progress in the nineteenth century. Spencer’s ideas, Schreiner found, had no place at the edges of empire. Michael Scott, director of the Future of the Humanities Project, will provide opening and closing remarks, and Rev. Joseph Simmons, S.J., will moderate a Q&A session following the presentation.
This event is sponsored by the Future of the Humanities Project; the Georgetown Humanities Initiative; the Georgetown Master’s Program in the Engaged and Public Humanities; Campion Hall, Oxford; and the Las Casas Institute (Blackfriars Hall, Oxford). It is part of a two-year-long series on the Christian Literary Imagination.

SIR JAMES EADIE QC HM TREASURY - OFCOM DSMA-NOTICE NEWS BLACKOUT:
MAINSTREAM NEWS MEDIA EXTRACTS: I
The Carroll Foundation Trust and parallel Gerald 6th Duke of Sutherland Trust multi-billion dollar corporate identity theft offshore tax fraud case which is encircling the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales Lord Harry Woolf of Barnes has disclosed that two High Court Judges respectively the recently retired Sir David Eady and the Lady Justice Sharp are understood to be both seriously implicated in this case of international importance.
The Carroll Foundation Trust files are held within a complete lockdown at the FBI Washington DC field office and Scotland Yard London under the supervision of the Commissioner Cressida Dick QPM who has an intimate knowledge of this major public interest case.
MAINSTREAM NEWS MEDIA EXTRACTS: II
The Carroll Foundation Trust files are held within a complete lockdown at the FBI Headquarters Washington DC and Scotland Yard London under the supervision of the Commissioner Cressida Dick QPM who is known to have an intimate knowledge of this case which stretches the globe.
