Meyers Lake Park & COMET roller coaster ~ Canton, Ohio
Meyers Lake Park was a small traditional amusement park in Canton, Ohio. Like many small amusements parks in the 70's, Meyers Lake fell victim to the changing times. The park owners tried reviving the parks attendance with a world record coaster marathon in 1972, but the declining attendance continued, sealing the fate of this once popular lakeside park in 1974. Thanks to the Sinclair & Garner child for allowing the use of these video clips which I edited and shuffled about with a new audio track.
