The Mercury M-Series is a pickup truck that was produced between 1946 and 1968 by Mercury, primarily for the Canadian market. Early versions often came with a higher output (CM-1 designated) Mercury/Ford flathead V8 engine over and above the unique Mercury-specific grille, badging and trim that adorned every Mercury M-Series truck.
The M-Series was introduced in Canada because smaller communities either had a Ford dealer or a Lincoln-Mercury-Meteor dealer, but not both; a Mercury truck line offered more opportunities for truck sales.
Pickup Trucks
Between 1948 and 1968 Ford of Canada used the "F" prefix for Ford and "M" for Mercury. From 1948-1950 nominal tonnage ratings were replaced by a series designation in which the numbers indicate the GVWR when equipped with tires of appropriate capacity. Each code number is arrived at by dividing the GVWR of the series by 100. Thus an F-47 (M-47) indicates a GVWR of 4700lbs., F-135 (M-135) indicates 13500lbs., etc. Each truck series is rated to its GVWR.
In 1951-52 Ford of Canada got back in step with Ford USA with F-1 (M-1), F-2 (M-2) etc. (GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - weight of chassis, cab and body, plus payload)
By 1960, the Toronto Transit Commission was preparing to expand its subway system to include the University line. The TTC wanted subway cars with a larger 75-foot (22.86m) design and also wished to expand upon some of the experimental features in the existing G-Series cars. The new design was pushed forward by GM John G. Inglis.
A total of only 36 M-series cars were built. As the subway expanded and more vehicles were necessary, the TTC turned to Hawker Siddeley to build the next series of subway cars.
Design
The TTC performed testing at St. Clair and Union stations with a 75-foot test vehicle known as the Duncan Dragon. Built at the Duncan Shops by Len Bardsley and the D&D Equipment, the test car consisted of two trucks with three panels and was designed to test the size of train that could successfully navigate the tunnels. A steel girder with railings allowed workers to walk and ride the car during tests.
M-20, M-220 and M222 were a range of general purpose computers designed and manufactured in the USSR.
These computers were developed by the Scientific Research Institute of Electronic Machines (NIIEM) and built
at Moscow Plant of Calculating and Analyzing Machines (SAM) and
the Kazan Plant of Computing Machines (under the Ministry of Radio Industry of the USSR).

Juniper M Series is a series of Multiservice Edge routers designed and manufactured by Juniper Networks, for enterprise and service provider networks. It spans over M7i, M10i, M40e, M120, and M320 platforms with 5 Gbit/s up to 160 Gbit/s of full-duplex throughput. The M40router was the first product by Juniper Networks, which was released in 1998. The M Series routers run on JUNOS Operating System.

M40 was the first product by Juniper Networks, which was released in 1998. The M40 was the first of its kind capable of scaling to meet the internet standards, which can move 40 million packets per second with a throughput rate in excess of 20 Gbit/s full-duplex. With the initial offering of m40, Juniper came up with the Internet Processor I. The proprietary ASIC was the fundamental core of Juniper's Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE). The PFE consisted of a shared memory, a single forwarding table, and a one-write, one-read architecture.The entire PFE was capable of forwarding at 40 Mpps, a capacity more than 100 times faster than that of any other available router architectures at that time. The M40 is one of the first routers on this scale, about 10 times faster than Cisco's 12000.
