These grass blooms are here and gone in a day. Violet pedals pollinate and turn to brown and then seed pod fluff in an afternoon. I've waited years to find the right day to photograph this fleeting display, and unfortunately I get to wait one more year to do it right.
This video has caused me to change my setup for videos. for the history of the channel I've shot everything with a neutral color setting. Choosing a less vibrant palette I was hoping to avoid oversaturated colors and unrealistic views of nature. These tiny grass blooms on the edge of a soggy marsh are a vibrant violet color, if only for a few hours. while my eyes picked up the color, and the photos look like crayons actually drew the grass, in this video they're muted, almost dusty colors.
