Mario Angelo Constantinou (born 1 May 1987), commonly known as Matt Di Angelo, is a British actor and singer, best known for his role as Dean Wicks in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. He also starred as Sean Kennedy in the BBC drama series Hustle.
Di Angelo's first acting role was as Robbie in the television series Harbour Lights in the episode: "Rites of Passage" which first aired on 28 May 2000. Then he played Felix in the CBBC musical comedy series I Dream in 2004. This resulted in him making a few appearances in the Sunday morning children's TV show Smile. He appeared in the film Telling Lies in 2006.
That same year he got his best-known role as Deano Wicks in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders where he made his first appearance on 2 January 2006. When he heard that he had got the role of Deano, Di Angelo was working in a shoe shop. It was announced on 18 August 2007 that Di Angelo would be leaving EastEnders following the departure of Phil Daniels (who played his on-screen father Kevin Wicks). He described his departure as "a shock". Di Angelo finished filming EastEnders 12 December 2007 and his last appearance in the series aired on 7 February 2008.

This is a clip from Episode 10 of the British TV series "I Dream" (2004). This song was written by Ricky Hanley and Lee Russell, who also play all instruments on it, and is produced by Radi8. It was not released as a single, and the album on which it was released – "Welcome To Avalon Heights" – was not a hit; it only reached number 133 in the UK and apparently did not chart in any other territory.
For information on this song and track, see these pages:
https://www.discogs.com/I-Dream-Welcome-To-Avalon-Heights/master/516978

An official presentation of the lyrics to this song is to be found in the CD booklet of the Welcome To Avalon Heights album, but unfortunately there does not appear to be a picture of the relevant page online. I own a copy of the CD so I have been able to use the official lyrics presentation as a guide for my own transcript of the lyrics, which I am presenting below and as optional subtitles in the video.
I have also made an unofficial music video of the other duet by Matt and Rachel from the series: "I Want You Around". Here is the link: https://youtu.be/qyqhBmAPzJM
Lyrics:
"Open Up My Heart"
- I Dream (feat. Matt Di Angelo & Rachel Hyde-Harvey)
(Words and Music by Ricky Hanley and Lee Russell)
I might
Act like I'm so insincere
Pretend like I don't really care, girl
You'd be right to
Not believe a word I say
I know
I've said this so many times
I don't even know if they're lines, girl
You'd be right to
Not believe a word I say
And I want to
Show you what I'm thinking of you
And you should be mine
I want you
But I don't know how to begin to
Open up my heart
And now (oh)
I feel I must try to explain
Nothing I do feels the same, boy
You'd be right to
Doubt the words I say
But it's true
No one makes me feel like you do
The games I've been playing are through, boy
Now it's time you
Believe the words I say
I want to
Show you what I'm thinking of you
And you should be mine
I want you
But I don't know how to begin to
Open up my heart
They used to say
'He'll never change'
One day I'll prove them all wrong
But I gotta let you know
Oh, baby, gotta let you know
Oh, oh
I want to
Show you what I'm thinking of you
You should be mine and I... (woah)
But I don't know how to begin to
Open up...
I want to
Show you what I'm thinking of you
(Oh, yeah, yeah)
(I want you) 'Cause I want you, girl, I really want you
And I need you, girl, I really need you
'Cause I wa-wa-wa-wa-want you
And I na-na-na-na-need you
'Cause I want you, girl, I really want you
And I need you, girl, I really need you
'Cause I wa-wa-wa-wa-want you
