In local culture, Route 128 is seen as something of a dividing line between the inner municipalities of Greater Boston and the more far-flung suburbs. The road's roughly 10-mile (16km) radius, for example, also delimits most of the area accessible by the MBTArapid transit system. Much of the area within Route 128 was developed before World War II, while the area outside it was developed more recently.
Despite a majority of Route 128's length running concurrent with either I-93 or I-95, most area residents refer to the entire length of the highway as Route 128. This includes the portion of I-93 south of Canton, which is no longer 128 at all, and substantial portions of I-95 that are not noticeably signed as 128. The perception of Route 128 running the entire length of highway from Gloucester to Braintree dates back to the road's pre-Interstate era, and has become an established part of local culture.
New York State Route128 (NY128) is a 5.53-mile (8.90km) long north–south state highway in northern Westchester County, New York. The route begins at an intersection with NY22 just west of I-684 in the hamlet of Armonk. Crossing through downtown Armonk, the route connects to NY117 in the southern end of the village of Mount Kisco.
NY128 was first constructed during the early 1900s with a pair of contracts handed out by the state of New York, which constructed the new alignment between NY22 and the triangle junction with NY117 in Mount Kisco. These segments were both added into the state highway system in 1903. NY128 itself was designated in the 1930 renumbering of state highways from Armonk to Mount Kisco. This was extended in the mid-1930s to connect to the Connecticut state line at Riversville Road. However, in 1970, the state truncated NY128 back to NY22 in Armonk and renumbered the short connector as NY433.
Route description
NY128 begins at an intersection with NY22 (Armonk–Bedford Road), an arterial boulevard, in the hamlet of Armonk (within the town of North Castle). NY128 proceeds north on Main Street, a two-lane commercial street, intersecting with an old alignment of NY22, entering the town center for North Castle, where it maintains the commercial backdrop through town. Passing west of Wampus Brook Park, NY128 intersects with Old Mount Kisco Road, an old alignment as it leaves the town center. NY128 soon parallels the park and Wampus Brook on its way north, maintaining the Main Street moniker until an intersection with Old Mount Kisco Road. At that junction, the route becomes Armonk–Mount Kisco Road, making a large bend westward near Al Ehrmann Park.
VT128 begins at a junction with VT15 (Center Road) in the Chittenden County town of Essex. VT128 runs east from VT15 as a two-lane commercial street through downtown Essex, soon leaving the center of town. The route begins running northeast through Essex, the farms and crossing the Browns River. At Weed Road, VT128 turns northeast even further, paralleling the Browns River through rural Essex, passing some local residences. The route turns north on Osgood Hill Road, winding along the river. Near Pettingill Road, the route bends southeast.
Crossing into the town of Westford, VT128 turns northeast through dense woods of town. The woods recede for local farms and fields, and the route soon makes an elongated curve into the center of Westford. Crossing the Browns River, VT128, turning west near Cambridge Road, serves as the main road through the hamlet. After Brookside Road, the route turns northwest, passing through the rural sections of Westford. At Woods Hollow Road, VT128 runs north past Westford–Milton Road, which connects to the village of Milton. The route continues north, crossing the county line into Franklin County.
The road has borne the number 202 since at least 1936. Before this, sections of the road were designated U.S.Route122, as it intersected U.S. Route 22. Its current designation is based on its intersection with US2 in Maine.
This route is considerably longer than the eastern segment of US2, making it one of several 3-digit USroutes to be longer than their parent routes.
Route description
Delaware
US202 begins at an interchange with US13/US40 south of Wilmington. It runs north along the same road as Delaware Route 141, then joins with Interstate 95 through Wilmington. North of the city, it exits the freeway onto Concord Pike, heading north; Delaware Route 202 also continues south from this point. US202 continues north towards the state line as a six-lane arterial road and is lined with numerous strip malls and "big-box stores".
"Massachusetts (Because of You Our Land is Free)," words and music by Bernard Davidson, was made the official patriotic song of Massachusetts on October 23, 1989.

RARE!! Acela Deadheads Through Route 128! 8/24/13
So I stopped at Route 128 for a few minutes, since I was going right past it and it was about time for regional 161 to come through. I saw a headlight coming so I figured it was 161. But I realized it was an Acela. I set my camera to video mode and got this. Sorry for the shakyness (no tripod, was not expecting this) and for the language at the end. And for those that don't know, this is rare because every Acela that goes through Rte 128 stops, and this one didn't.

While waiting for my train to TF Green Airport I decided to film the elevators here. These were Modded. I’m not 100% sure if they were modded by KONE but that’s my best guess. In this video I film the parking elevators and the track 1 and 2 elevators and the escalators When I was a little kid I remember coming here to pick up family and while waiting for them to arrive my parents would take me on the elevators here. And now I’m filming these. Full Trip Report of this whole trip coming soon. When I use Amtrak while filming a video I will not use this station, I will go from South Station for filming purposes

David Kruh, author of "Building Route 128", will present the complete story of Route 128, from its beginning in the 1920s as an ad hoc collection of two-lane roads that formed a rough arc 15 miles from Boston, through the construction of the divided highway in the 1950s, and then how one man’s vision became the catalyst for the fantastic growth around the highway.

The overall journey was quite scenic, with train speeding up to 195 km/hr a few times.

Amtrak arrives and departs Route 128.I filmed the whole thing because I thought another regional would come by.The conductor in the last car threw my brother and I some glowsticks.Notice me bending over to pick them up.

About the Author:
David Kruh is a former New Yorker and a 1978 graduate of the University of Maryland. While earning his Masters in Computer Engineering at Boston University, David worked as an engineer at WRKO Radio. He has also worked full time as a copywriter, computer programmer, radio producer, radio engineer and, for a few years in the mid-1990s, as a spokesman and web master for the Big Dig. He retired a few years ago from a semiconductor manufacturer, where he was the Direct Marketing Manager. He is also the author of several other books, notably two on Boston's Scollay Square and Building Route 128.
David's most recent book, Inseparable, is based on the June, 1962 escape by three inmates from Alcatraz in a homemade raft. Two of the escapees land on a beach near Sausalito. They are found by an independent-minded thirteen year-old boy who decides to help them to freedom. In this fast-paced adventure, they must evade the authorities, the media - and the boy’s mother.

I know I uploaded these already, but I just found iMovie on my phone. (For some reason I had deleted it.) And I decided to test it out by making a simple comp of trains I filmed recently. Hope it is good. I put in little transitions.
Train 1: Acela 2258 with nice engineer
Train 2: NER 175 departing with nice engineer (ACS-64 655)
Train 4 MBTA 1810 with another nice engineer (CTC-5 1823 Leading, HSP-46 2000 shoving)
