Maryland Route 202 (MD 202) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. The highway runs 13.92 miles (22.40km) from MD 725 in Upper Marlboro north to MD 450 in Bladensburg. MD 202 connects the central Prince George's County communities of Bladensburg, Cheverly, Landover, and Largo with the county seat of Upper Marlboro. The state highway was constructed from Bladensburg to Largo in the mid- to late 1920s and from Largo to Upper Marlboro in the early 1930s. MD 202 was relocated through Landover in the early 1940s. The highway was expanded to a divided highway with several interchanges from Bladensburg through Landover and Largo from the early 1960s to the mid-1970s. In the 1990s, MD 202's divided highway segment was extended halfway to Upper Marlboro and expanded again through Largo, including the construction of several auxiliary routes to connect the highway with FedExField.
Route description
MD 202 begins at an intersection with MD 725 (Marlboro Pike) just east of the town of Upper Marlboro. MD 725 provides access to U.S. Route 301 (US 301) (Robert Crain Highway) to the east and forms the Main Street of Upper Marlboro to the west. MD 202 heads northwest as Largo Road, which immediately crosses Collington Branch just above its confluence with the Western Branch of the Patuxent River. The highway has three lanes—two lanes northbound and one lane southbound—as it ascends out of the river valley. The road becomes two lanes before it passes through Brock Hall, where the highway parallels several segments of Old Largo Road. MD 202 expands to a four-lane divided highway southeast of its junction with the eastern end of MD 193 (Watkins Park Drive) and crosses the Western Branch into the suburb of Kettering, the site of the historic home Mount Lubentia.
SR 202 begins at an intersection with SR 3 (Kings Highway) at Templeman. The state highway heads northeast as Cople Highway, which crosses tidewater Nomini Creek and curves southeast at the hamlet of Nomini. SR 202 passes through Machodoc and Hague on its way to Grays Corner, where the highway intersects SR 203 (Oldhams Road). The two highways run concurrently until SR 203 splits northeast as Kinsale Road. SR 202 crosses the Westmoreland–Northumberland county line at its bridge over Hampton Hall Branch of the West Branch of the Yeocomico River. The state highway continues as Hampton Hall Road, which heads south past Morrisons Corner and southeast from Hyacinth to its eastern terminus at US 360 in the village of Callao. The roadway continues east as Northumberland Highway toward the namesake county's seat of Heathsville. US 360 also heads west from the intersection as Richmond Road.
The road has borne the number 202 since at least 1936. Before this, sections of the road were designated U.S.Route122, as it intersected U.S. Route 22. Its current designation is based on its intersection with US2 in Maine.
This route is considerably longer than the eastern segment of US2, making it one of several 3-digit USroutes to be longer than their parent routes.
Route description
Delaware
US202 begins at an interchange with US13/US40 south of Wilmington. It runs north along the same road as Delaware Route 141, then joins with Interstate 95 through Wilmington. North of the city, it exits the freeway onto Concord Pike, heading north; Delaware Route 202 also continues south from this point. US202 continues north towards the state line as a six-lane arterial road and is lined with numerous strip malls and "big-box stores".
The western terminus of Oregon Route 202 is an intersection with U.S. Route 101 in Astoria. OR 202 (concurrent for a short stretch with US 101 Business) continues southeast from there, along the eastern shore of Youngs Bay and the Youngs River. Soon after, it enters the valley of the Nehalem River, and continues southeast towards the community of Jewell. Leaving Jewell, it then continues east-northeast to the town of Mist, where OR 202 ends. The Nehalem Highway continues southeast from there, as Oregon Route 47.

Maryland County is a county in the southeastern portion of the West African nation of Liberia. One of 15 counties that comprise the first-level of administrative division in the nation, it has two districts. Harper serves as the capital with the area of the county measuring 2,297 square kilometres (887sqmi). As of the 2008 Census, it had a population of 136,404, making it the seventh most populous county in Liberia.
Named after the State of Maryland in the United States, it was an independent country as the Republic of Maryland from 1854 until it joined Liberia in 1857. The most populous city in the county is Pleebo with 22,963 residents, while Maryland's County Superintendent is Nazarine Tubman. The county is bordered by Grand Kru County to the west and River Gee County to the north. The eastern part of Maryland borders the nation of Côte d'Ivoire, separated by the Cavalla River.
History
Maryland was first established as a colony of the Maryland State Colonization Society 1834, but was not granted independence until 1854. Following a referendum in 1853, the colony declared its independence from the Colonization Society and formed the Republic of Maryland. It held the land along the coast between the Grand Cess and San Pedro Rivers. In 1856, the independent state of Maryland (Africa) requested military aid from Liberia in a war with the Grebo and Kru peoples who were resisting the Maryland settlers' efforts to control their trade in slaves. President Roberts assisted the Marylanders, and a joint military campaign by both groups of Americo-Liberian colonists resulted in victory. Following a referendum in February 1857 the Republic of Maryland joined Liberia as Maryland County on 6 April 1857. As of May 2004, a DRC census estimated the county's population to be 107,100.
The Maryland automobile was built by the Sinclair-Scott Company of Baltimore, Maryland, between 1907 and 1910.
Sinclair-Scott was a maker of food canning machinery and in the early 1900s started to make car parts. One of their customers, Ariel, failed to pay and in recompense Sinclair-Scott took over production, moved the factory to Baltimore, and marketed the car as the Maryland.
The car was powered by a 30hp four-cylinder, overhead camshaft engine. The Ariel design was initially unchanged, and the Maryland was originally available as a four-seat roadster or a five-seat touring car. The wheelbase was later lengthened from the initial 100 inches (2,500mm) to 116 inches (2,900mm). Limousines became available in 1908 and town cars in 1909. Prices ranged from $2500 to $3200.
Production stopped in 1910 after 871 had been made as producing the cars was not profitable. The company returned to the manufacture of food-canning machinery.
