Monte Vecchio: A Serene Hike in the Maritime Alps
On this hike we visited the beautiful little village of Limone Piemont in the Maritime Alps to hike up Monte Vecchio. As with the hike on the day before (Monte Bersaio) we didn't meet a single person during the whole hike. We saw a fox on the trail, saw some cool old buildings, had a little race to the cross on top of the mountain in the end, enjoyed some really nice views and cooled off in a small waterfall on the way down.
We hope you enjoy! Please like, comment and subscribe if you do :)

Gorges du Loup, Road D6, Maritime Alps, France - by motorcycle
The village of Pont du Loup is located at the southern end of the Gorge du Loup (Wolf Gorge), which leads from here about 11 km north to the villages of Le Tourounet / Gréolières. The well-maintained and easy to drive D2 road is mostly near the bottom of the valley next to the Loup River. The road changes the valley side several times on bridges and also leads through some tunnels. At the beginning, near Pont du Loup, west above are the waterfalls Cascades de l'aqueduc du Foulon and about 4 km further north the waterfalls Cascade de Courmes and
Cascades du Saut du Loup. Saut du Loup is impressive but can only be visited with a fee.

The 'Sistine Chapel' of France's Maritime Alps, miraculous survivor of deadly floods | AFP
The painted chapel of Notre-Dame-des-Fontaines at La Brigue with its 15th century mural frescoes managed to survive unscathed the deadly floods which devastated the Roya valley at the beginning of October. Nicknamed the "Sistine Chapel" of the Alpes-Maritimes, it was built at the end of the Middle Ages, on the salt road which went up from the Mediterranean to Italy.
