The player with the most consecutive games played in MLB is Cal Ripken Jr. From May 30th, 1982 to September 19th, 1998, Cal Ripken Jr never missed a game. That’s 2,632 games played in a row! Before that, the record was held by Lou Gehrig, who played 2,130 games in a row from June 1st, 1925 to April 30th, 1939. This sounds like a record that won’t be broken anytime soon.
Did you get this right? Then good for you, you know a little ball.

The Cal Ripken conspiracy theory: how Kevin Costner and a power outage play into his Iron Man streak
There's an old internet rumor that the Baltimore Orioles rigged a power outage to delay a game and keep Cal Ripken, Jr.'s consecutive games streak alive - allegedly because he fought Kevin Costner. Which parts of this conspiracy theory are (or at least might be) true, and which are total nonsense?

The player with the most consecutive games played in MLB is Cal Ripken Jr. From May 30th, 1982 to September 19th, 1998, Cal Ripken Jr never missed a game. That’s 2,632 games played in a row! Before that, the record was held by Lou Gehrig, who played 2,130 games in a row from June 1st, 1925 to April 30th, 1939. This sounds like a record that won’t be broken anytime soon.
Did you get this right? Then good for you, you know a little ball.
