Maadhavi Latha

Maadhavi Latha is an Indian film actress, who has appeared in Telugu and Tamil films.

Career

Maadhavi was born in the Bellary district of Karnataka and pursued a Sociology degree at ASM College for Women, Bellary, and then combined it with a joint honours Economics degree at Gulbarga University, Karnataka. Maadhavi made her feature film debut with the Telugu romantic film Nachavule (2008), with a critic describing she was promising in her role. Her next films Shh... and Snehituda... opposite Nani, opened to negative reviews and box office collections. She subsequently spent a year in the United Kingdom, pursuing a Masters qualification in Fashion Designing at Coventry University, before relocating back to Hyderabad to restart a career in films. She made a comeback and worked on films including Aravind 2 (2013) as well as on the unreleased Choodalani Cheppalani alongside Taraka Ratna, where she played a deaf and dumb girl.

Her first release in 2015 was her debut Tamil film, Sundar C's multi-starrer Aambala

Latha (actress)

Latha (born Nalini), also known as M.G.R. Latha, Latha Sethupathi, is a top Indian actress, who played leading roles in south Indian films during the 1970s and early 1980s. She is also known for her roles in various megaserials in Tamil and Telugu language and continues to be popular in the industry.

Early life

Latha is originally from Tamil Naduborn to telugu mother and tamil father. Her photogenic looks and dancing skills attracted attention from the Tamil film industry. She entered films when she was fifteen and was encouraged by her aunt actress Kamala Kotnis. Her first film was in Ulagam Sutram Valiban (1973), whose star and producer was M. G. Ramachandran. She is from the Sethupathy clan, the Royal family of Ramnad and her father was Shanmugha Rajeswara Sethupathi and mother is Leelarani. Actor Rajkumar Sethupathy is her brother.
