Lulu is an eponymous album released by Lulu on Alfa Records in 1981. It is notable for containing the hit single "I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)," which became the second-highest-charting single of Lulu's career in the U.S., hitting the Top 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1981.
History
Alfa Records released the album Lulu in August 1981, in response to the chart success of "I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)", originally contained on Lulu's 1978 album, Don't Take Love For Granted. In addition to "I Could Never Miss You", Lulu featured two other songs from the 1978 album, being the title track, "Don't Take Love For Granted" and "You Are Still A Part Of Me", all of which had been written by Neil Harrison. A new Harrison track, "Can't Hold Out On Love", was included, being one of seven new tracks produced by Mark London.
Lulu was ranked by Billboard at #126, making it Lulu's third US charting album - her first in eleven years - and her last to-date.
! is an album by The Dismemberment Plan. It was released on October 2, 1995, on DeSoto Records. The band's original drummer, Steve Cummings, played on this album but left shortly after its release.

Personnel
The following people were involved in the making of !:
Albums of recorded music were developed in the early 20th century, first as books of individual 78rpm records, then from 1948 as vinyl LP records played at 331⁄3rpm. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though in the 21st century albums sales have mostly focused on compact disc (CD) and MP3 formats. The audio cassette was a format used in the late 1970s through to the 1990s alongside vinyl.
An album may be recorded in a recording studio (fixed or mobile), in a concert venue, at home, in the field, or a mix of places. Recording may take a few hours to several years to complete, usually in several takes with different parts recorded separately, and then brought or "mixed" together. Recordings that are done in one take without overdubbing are termed "live", even when done in a studio. Studios are built to absorb sound, eliminating reverberation, so as to assist in mixing different takes; other locations, such as concert venues and some "live rooms", allow for reverberation, which creates a "live" sound. The majority of studio recordings contain an abundance of editing, sound effects, voice adjustments, etc. With modern recording technology, musicians can be recorded in separate rooms or at separate times while listening to the other parts using headphones; with each part recorded as a separate track.
Lulu is a 1973 album by British singer Lulu. It was her first album on Chelsea Records. Produced by American songwriter Wes Farrell, the lead single was "Make Believe World". It also included covers of "Groovin'", "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" and David Cassidy's "Could it Be Forever". The album failed to chart, although Lulu came back to prominence a few months later with the release of the hit single "The Man Who Sold the World". The single reached No.3 in the UK and became one of the singer's biggest hits, but was not included on this album. Although the album met with little chart success, reviews were good, with Allmusic calling it "top class".
The album was released on Polydor Records in Australia. Tracks from Lulu were released on Compact disc on a compilation with her following album in 1999.
Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, OBE (born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie, 3 November 1948), best known by her stage name Lulu, is a Scottish singer, actress, and television personality who has been successful in the entertainment business since the 1960s.
Lulu was born in Lennoxtown, East Dunbartonshire and grew up in Dennistoun, Glasgow, where she attended Thomson Street Primary School, Whitehill Secondary School and Onslow Drive School. She lived in Gallowgate for a while before moving to Garfield Street, Dennistoun. At the age of 12 or 13 she and her manager approached a band called the Bellrocks seeking stage experience as a singer. She appeared with them every Saturday night: Alex Thomson, the group's bass player, has reported that even then her voice was remarkable. Lulu has two brothers and a sister. Her father was a heavy drinker.

Lulu - Who's Foolin' Who
"Who's Foolin' Who" by Lulu. This British 60's pop icon was famous for her big hit "To Sir With Love", and even participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with "Boom Bang-A-Bang". Lulu even had a hit in the 80's with "I Could Never Miss You (More Than I Do)", which hit the peak position of #18 in October of 1981, and #2 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Singles chart. Her follow-up single, "If I Were You", missed the Top 40, peaking at #44. Unfortunately, "Who's Foolin' Who" missed the Hot 100, settling for a peak position of #106 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. This piano-pumping, guitar-strumming feel-good tune deserved a much better chart fate. All these 3 singles came from her 1981 album, "Lulu", on Alfa Rec ords.

LYRICS:
Those schoolgirl days
Of telling tales and biting nails are gone
But in my mind
I know they will still live on and on
But how do you thank someone
Who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn't easy, but I'll try
If you wanted the sky
I would write across the sky in letters
That would soar a thousand feet high
"To Sir, with love"
The time has come
For closing books and long last looks must end
And as I leave
I know that I am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me right from wrong
And weak from strong, that's a lot to learn
What, what can I give you in return?
If you wanted the moon
I would try to make a start
But I would rather you let me give my heart
To Sir, with love
