Marc Ford (born April 13, 1966), is an American blues-rockguitarist. He's a former lead guitarist of the rock and rolljam bandThe Black Crowes and the leader of his own bands: Burning Tree, Marc Ford & The Neptune Blues Club, Jefferson Steelflex, Fuzz Machine, Marc Ford & The Sinners.
Ford began his career with the blues-rock outfit Burning Tree in the late 1980s. A power trio featuring Ford on guitars and vocals, Mark Dutton on bass and Doni Gray on drums, Burning Tree released their self-titled debut album on Epic Records in 1990. A commercial failure but a critical success, Burning Tree allowed Ford and Co. to tour extensively throughout most of 1990 and 1991. The band's career was cut short when Ford left to join The Black Crowes, whom Burning Tree had opened for on its first (and only) tour.
Long Way Down is a television series, book and DVD documenting a motorcycle journey undertaken by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, on which they rode south through 18 countries from John o' Groats in Scotland to Cape Town in South Africa via Europe and Africa in 2007. It is a follow-up to the Long Way Round trip of 2004, when the pair rode east from London to New York via Eurasia and North America.
The journey started on 12 May 2007 and finished on 4 August 2007.
They were accompanied by the same key members of the team from Long Way Round, including cameraman and director of photography Claudio Von Planta and cameraman Jimmy Simak (who also oversaw music supervision and soundtrack production), producers Russ Malkin and David Alexanian. In addition they decided to travel constantly with a medic, Dai Jones, security officer Jim Foster and various "fixers"—local guides and interpreters—throughout the journey. They rode the BMW R1200GS Adventure, the successor to the R1150GS Adventure bikes they rode in Long Way Round.
Long Way Down is the debut studio album by British singer-songwriter Tom Odell. It was released on 24 June 2013 and serves as the follow-up to his 2012 extended play, Songs from Another Love. It serves as his first release with a major record label, and was released with Columbia.
Background
In early 2012, Odell announced that he had signed to Columbia and began recording his debut album later on in 2012. In November 2012, Tom Odell released his first EP Songs from Another Love which included famous hit "Another Love", which Odell released an official video on his VEVO for.
Odell came in to RAK Studios in St Johns Wood with producer Dan Grech-Marguerat to record the album in the summer of 2012.
Odell announced that his first single from the album would be "Can't Pretend" which was released worldwide on March 6, 2013. It was later announced the second single to come from the album was "Hold Me". Odell performed "Hold Me" and "Can't Pretend" on both Alan Carr: Chatty Man and The Jonathan Ross Show.
"Long Way Down" is the fifth single by the Goo Goo Dolls from their breakthrough album, 1995's A Boy Named Goo. This song is often overshadowed by the low-key ballad "Name", which launched the band to household names. Although it could not match the chart-topping success of "Name" on the rock and pop charts, "Long Way Down" reached No. 7 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, but only made it halfway up the Modern Rock Tracks chart (#25). It did not reach the pop charts. "Long Way Down" was also part of the soundtrack for the 1996 film Twister.

Everytime I turn around The man tries to get me down Just can't see your face Blinded by the sun Leaving on the run And I can't remember this place Won't take me to the other side let 'em go, let 'em ride Won't you take me to the other side Pretty mama, the wind won't you let me ride Before slow down before I wreck Driving on the river's edge Mam says come back home But I can't keep from running fast Burning up these years Guy's un uncle sam of the road Won't take me to the other side let 'em go, let 'em ride Won't you take me to the other side Let me ride... The Cowboy you give a name Nothing ever stays the same Except the rain falling down Boys so damn close You can't keep from going on Gotta keep the hammer down To take me to the other side let 'em go, let 'em ride Won't you take me to the other side Let me ride... To take me to the other side let 'em go, let 'em ride
