Lion is a beverage and food company that operates in Australia and New Zealand and produces and markets a range of beer, wine, cider, RTDs, spirits, plain and flavoured milks, yogurts, cheese, juice and soy products. Lion was formed in October 2009 under the name ‘Lion Nathan National Foods’, when Kirin Holdings Company Limited purchased brewer Lion Nathan and merged the business with National Foods which it owned since 2007. In 2011, it changed its name to Lion.
The company employs over 7000 people.
The company was formed in 1988 with the merger of LD Nathan & Co and Lion Breweries, and was listed on both the Australian and New Zealand Stock Exchanges under the symbol LNN. On 17 September 2009, Lion Nathan shareholders overwhelmingly voted to accept a 100% takeover offer by Kirin. The takeover was implemented on 21 October 2009, and the company was delisted.
History
The original forerunner of the company was Brown Campbell & Co, the company of Logan Campbell and William Brown who established the Hobson Bridge Brewery in Auckland in 1840. By 1897 it was the largest brewery in the North Island if not the country. In May 1897 Brown Campbell & Co amalgamated with Louis Ehrenfried's Albert Brewery, which he had bought in 1878, to form Campbell and Ehrenfried. The new company was managed by Arthur Myers, Ehrenfried's nephew. In 1914 Campbell and Ehrenfried merged with the Great Northern Brewery, which owned the Lion brand. In 1923 ten breweries amalgamated to form New Zealand Breweries. Campbell and Ehrenfried merged its breweries into New Zealand Breweries but remained a separate company. Douglas Myers, grandson of Arthur Myers, became CEO of Campbell and Ehrenfried in 1965.
The BEAR and LIONblock ciphers were invented by Ross Anderson and Eli Biham by combining a stream cipher and a cryptographic hash function. The algorithms use a very large variable block size, on the order of 213 to 223 bits or more. Both are 3 round generalized Feistel ciphers, using the hash function and the stream cipher as round functions. BEAR uses the hash function twice with independent keys, and the stream cipher once. LION uses the stream cipher twice and the hash function once. The inventors proved that an attack on either BEAR or LION that recovers the key would break both the stream cipher and the hash.

Jamal Bush (born November 4, 1975), better known by his stage name Rock (or Big Rock, or alternatively The Rockness Monstah), is an Americanrapper, famous as a member of hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik and the duo Heltah Skeltah along with Sean Price. He is known for his deep, grimy voice and having a sophisticated and rugged flow.
After releasing two albums with Heltah Skeltah, Nocturnal and Magnum Force, Rock left Duck Down Records and pursued a solo career. He signed to DJ Lethal's Lethal Records and recorded a solo album titled Planet Rock, which was never released after the label folded. He didn't make an appearance on the Clik's 2002 group album The Chosen Few, being the only member of the "Great 8" not to appear.
With each character, their weapon was decided upon before other aspects were. The design was then built to revolve around it, starting with gender, then physical measurements, and lastly background details. Once established, appearance and movement were fleshed out by the team's concept artist and rendered as a 3D model by a design team that worked solely on the character. The completed model was then animated by a motion capture artist working directly with the team. During this phase the team additionally worked with the story creators, refining the character's own role in the plot as needed throughout development. In the course of the series, two characters have been an exception to the process: Johan Druer, a berserker exclusive to the Soulcalibur Japanese player's guide, and Necrid, a character co-produced with Todd McFarlane that appears in Soulcalibur II.

Lion Brew | Beer Pellicle Experiment Day 1
Bottled up a few bottles of my session IPA that got infected with a beer pellicle. Just a little experiment to see what happens whilst it's developing.
This is day one in the bottle. You can see there's already some activity inside the bottle, lots of floaters and a skin is forming in the neck of the bottle.
A couple of months ago I opened up my fermenter to dry hop a Session IPA only to be greeted by my very first beer pellicle 😱
It didn't have any off flavours so I decided to use it as a learning opportunity, I sealed it back up and left it to do its thing for a couple of months.
Two months later I gave it another taste, it still tasted like beer. I decided to bottle some of it up (I chucked the rest).
This is day 7 of my Beer Pellicle Experiment 🍺
The pellicle has thickened up now, it's looking pretty solid and has turned a bit yellow on the surface.
