The term Line of Control (LoC) refers to the military control line between the Indian and Pakistani controlled parts of the former princely state of Kashmir and Jammu—a line which, to this day, does not constitute a legally recognized international boundary but is the de facto border. Originally known as the Cease-fire Line, it was redesignated as the "Line of Control" following the Simla Agreement, which was signed on 3 July 1972. The part of the former princely state that is under Indian control is known as the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The two parts of the former princely state that are under Pakistani control are known as Gilgit–Baltistan and Azad Kashmir (AJK). Its northernmost point is known as the NJ9842.
Another ceasefire line separates the Indian-controlled state of Jammu and Kashmir from the Chinese-controlled area known as Aksai Chin. Lying further to the east, it is known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and has been referred to as one of the most dangerous places in the world.

Kashmir tension: Anxiety along the Line of Control
Pakistan has warned India that it will respond to any attack and has put its troops on alert, as relations deteriorate between the two countries over the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir.
Just 500 metres from the Line of Control in Pakistan-administered Kashmir is the town of Chakoti in which the possibility of an attack by Indian forces has been dominating discussions.
Tensions have been high after last week’s suicide bombing in Indian-administered Kashmir which killed 41 members of the Indian paramilitary.

**Eagles Training Camp: Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore Discusses Progress and Player Roles**
**July 27, 2024 – South Philadelphia** - Eagles Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore addressed the media today, sharing insights into the team's progress, player roles, and his philosophy on offense as the Eagles gear up for the new season.
**Training Camp Progress:**
Moore emphasized the importance of training camp as a process, particularly for new schemes. “The early part of it is really an installation process where we're trying to expose ourselves to as much scheme as we can,” he explained, highlighting the focus on a variety of running games and narrowing the focus as they approach preseason games.
**Jalen Hurts’ Role and Development:**
Moore praised quarterback Jalen Hurts, emphasizing his dual-threat capability in the run game. “It's been an excellent factor that Jalen has been able to utilize just being an extra guy in the run game,” Moore said, noting Hurts' smart decision-making and ability to protect himself. He also highlighted Hurts' smooth operation and command of the offense, stating, “He's doing an excellent job at the line of scrimmage with the little nuances, little adjustments that he has at his disposal.”
Moore also acknowledged Hurts' critical role in shaping the offense, collaborating closely to build on past successes and incorporate new elements. “Jalen is a huge part of this process. His experience over the last few years, all the things he's been able to accomplish, we want to build on those things.”
**Offensive Line and Protection:**
The relationship between center Cam Jurgens and Hurts in managing pass protection was discussed, with Moore stating that the two must work together. “Ultimately sometimes the QB can see a little bit of a wider lens... Cam certainly gives us the ability to speed the process up,” he explained. Moore also emphasized the importance of communication across the offensive line, with each player having a unique vantage point to make necessary adjustments.
**Wide Receiver and Running Back Utilization:**
Moore highlighted the depth and competition among the wide receivers, including third options beyond DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown. He praised their ability to adapt and align based on the defense. Similarly, he expressed excitement about running back Saquon Barkley’s versatility, noting his potential impact both in the run game and as a space player in the passing game.
**Adaptation and Evolution:**
Throughout the press conference, Moore repeatedly emphasized the need for continuous evolution and adaptation of the offense. He shared that terminology and schemes are constantly evolving based on player comfort and league trends. This includes incorporating more motion pre-snap to create advantageous situations, which Hurts is adapting to with increasing comfort.
**Leadership and Accountability:**
Moore also shared his philosophy of being extremely hard on himself and being his biggest critic, striving for continuous improvement. This approach aligns with his expectations for the team, encouraging a culture of accountability and high standards.
**Conclusion:**
As the Eagles prepare for the upcoming season, Moore's insights reflect a clear focus on collaboration, adaptability, and leveraging the unique strengths of key players like Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. With training camp as their “sanctuary,” the team is committed to building a dynamic and effective offense for the 2024 season.
