LINCOLN ENGLAND, A historic city famous for it's tourist attractions of Cathedral and Castle, and a major tourist and visitor destination in England. Lincoln is a fantastic place to visit. We take the Gimbal Walk TV cameras along the streets of Lincoln City Centre for a look around the place. .Come with me as we have a walk from the shops and pubs to Lincoln Cathedral, Steep Hill, and across to the Castle.
Lincoln City Centre is the heart of Lincoln, England. It's a historic area with a mix of modern and medieval architecture. Here are some of the things you can see and do there:
Lincoln Cathedral - This stunning Gothic cathedral is one of the largest in Europe and was once the tallest building in the world for 300 years. You can climb the tower for stunning views of the city, or explore the inside of the cathedral, which is full of beautiful stained glass windows and sculptures.
Lincoln Castle. This Norman castle is a great place to learn about Lincoln's history. You can explore the castle keep, which is one of the two remaining surviving Norman keeps in England. The castle also houses the Magna Carta, one of the most important documents in English history.
The Collection. This museum tells the story of Lincoln and Lincolnshire from prehistoric times to the present day. The museum has a wide range of exhibits, including Roman archaeology, medieval artifacts, and social history displays.
Shopping. Lincoln City Centre is a great place to do some shopping. There are a variety of shops to choose from, including high street stores, independent shops, and boutiques. There are also two shopping centres, the Waterside Shopping Centre and the St Marks Shopping Centre.
Lincoln is a very walkable city, and there are a number of interesting walks that you can take. One of the most popular walks is the Brayford Pool walk, which takes you around the edge of the water. You can also walk up to Steep Hill, which is one of the steepest streets in England.
If you are planning a trip to Lincoln, be sure to include Lincoln City Centre on your itinerary. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this historic and vibrant city centre.

LINCOLN UK | A full Lincoln Tour as we take a gentle Lincoln Walk through the City Centre from Lincoln Cathedral to Lincoln Castle and into the City Centre | 4K Walking Tour
Also watch Whitby 👉 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QWHULTGEco
We start this 4K walk in Minster Yard outside the historic Lincoln Cathedral and in the shadow of Exchequer Gate. As we pass underneath the arches of Exchequer Gate we see the church of St Mary of Magdalene on Bailgate, which is situated next to the White Hart Hotel where the fighting tank was invented!
After hearing the busker we come to Castle Hill and pass the visitors centre where you can nip in and ask them about things to do in Lincoln or things to see in Lincoln.
Our Lincoln walk then takes us along Castle Hill until we reach Lincoln Castle, a Historic ruined Normal Fortress that was also used as a prison and contains a copy of the Magna Carta. An important castle in the story of England History!
We continue our walking tour by heading down Steep Hill. Steep Hill is a really charming street with 12th century buildings including Jews House, a building associated with the Jewish Community of the medieval times!
Our Lincoln Walk continues down Steep Hill we arrive at The Strait which is a gateway between Lincoln City Centre and Steep Hill. It's also home to lots of little independent shops and businesses including a very unique sweet shop!
Coming out of Steep Hill and The Strait we then come onto Lincoln High Street which takes us down to Lincoln Guildhall which is an early 16th Century archway over High Street that is also home to council meetings
We end this Lincoln Walking Tour by heading down to Brayford Waterfront with the famous Brayford Pool where the Romans first landed in Lincoln. Here we see another of the things to do in Lincoln - a boat trip along Foss Dyke.
Lincoln is a town or more accurately city in the East Midlands of England. It's best known for the medieval Lincoln Cathedral but also has streets that are simply amazing to walk around if you come for a lovely Lincoln walk.
Also here is Lincoln Castle which is worth a trip in itself, and has a car park right next door. Lincoln Castle also houses a copy of the Magna Carta!
Around the City Centre you can find bars, shops, restaurants and hotels if you want to stay over or have a longer break here.
Amongst the most popular attractions are Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Steep Hill and Bailgate, Guildhall and Stonebow and the Brayford Waterfront all of which are included in this Lincoln Walk

We continue visiting fun and exciting locations. This time we made it to Lincoln, UK and we were pleasantly surprised by the city. I now consider Lincoln to be one of England's Best Kept Secrets. The City centre had a great vibe...
We actually spent two weekends in Lincoln because we enjoyed to vibe in the city so much.
Lincolnshire (abbreviated Lincs.) is a county in the East Midlands of England, with a long coastline on the North Sea to the east. It borders Norfolk to the south-east, Cambridgeshire to the south, Rutland to the south-west, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire to the west, South Yorkshire to the north-west, and the East Riding of Yorkshire to the north.
