To comply with Danish election law, and to be able to stand for elections the Liberal Alliance had to gather 19,185 signatures of supporters on special forms, the number being equivalent to one parliamentary seat in the Folketing. Each completed form had to be certified with the civil registry offices of municipalities before being collectively handed in to the Ministry of the Interior. In the event of an election being called before the Liberal Alliance had finished its nomination process, the minor party Centre Democrats offered to let the Liberal Alliance put forward candidates on their lists. The Liberal Alliance did not take any stand on this offer, however.
After the 1891 Chilean Civil War and the dissolution of the coalition between conservatives, radicals and antibalmacedist liberals the Radical Party, the Democrat Party and several liberal organizations formed the Liberal Alliance (Spanish:Alianza Liberal). It was the main opposer of the Coalition. Along with the Coalition, it was one of the two parties of the bipartidist system of that period, the era of the Chilean parliamentary republic. The Alliance would later be called the Liberal Union, during a period in which it was a union of the radicals, the democrats and all liberal groups (liberales, liberales democrats, nationals and the doctrinary liberals) . It disappeared in 1925.

The Liberal Alliance (Greek:Φιλελεύθερη Συμμαχία, Fileleftheri Symmakhia) is a liberal political party in Greece, founded in February 2007. Its stated purpose is to cover the political ground between what it considers to constitute a conservativeNew Democracy and the socialistPASOK.
The highest organ in Liberal Alliance is its bi-annual Congress, which elects a seven (7) member Coordination Committee. The CC then elects the President.
Liberal Alliance's founding document is the Proclamation of Anavisos, written on 28 April 2007. It contains a reference to Victor Hugo.
The symbol of Liberal Alliance is like @ but instead of 'a' it has the Greek phi letter, which is also the first letter of the word Liberal in the Greek language, while the dominating colours are purple and yellow. (Initially the logo was the head of Adamantios Korais, until the first party congress.)
History
The party participated in the 2007 legislative election in Greece, where it tallied 0,1% of the popular vote, ranking 13th among 21 candidate parties. Its highest percentage was in the first Athens electoral prefecture, where it tallied 544 votes out of 337.000 cast, equaling 0,17%, while its worst percentage was in the prefecture of Pieria, which is the only prefecture where the party fielded no candidates.
Ø is a piece of land in the valley of the Nørreå in the eastern part of Jutland, Denmark. Its name means island (ø in the Danish language) and probably comes from the island-like approach to this piece of land, although it is completely landlocked and surrounded by meadows.
Ø is famous among lexicographers for the extreme brevity of its name: the single letter Øand for the people there.
Whilst the original meaning is not exactly verified, the name of the islet reflects Norwegians' (friendly) joking with the relatively small geographical size of Denmark proper. Alike Denmark, this islet is flat, small, and located oversea south of Bærum. The name predates 1814, when the personal union known as Denmark–Norway was dissolved. In a sale of land in the 1780s, it was mentioned that the sale included 'a little island called Denmark' (Danish:en lille ø kaldet Danmark).
