LE CAROUSEL ANNOUNCES NEW EP
‘DESTROY US’ PKRD 026
OUT AT ALL GOOD STORES 9TH FEBRUARY
https://pro.beatport.com/release/destroy-us-ep/1438047
Le Carousel returns with its first single in two years ‘Destroy Us’. It’s the first hint at a second album, giving people a taste of what’s to come.
The slow melodic sound from the first album continues here with a slightly more synth bass drive mixed with a psychedelic tripped out vibe over the top. Melody is at the forefront with vocals taking a back seat.
Completing the EP are two big remixes. First up is Harway Bros (Sean Johnston) who delivers the full synth arpeggio vibe to a mix that’s already been killing it on the dance floor at ‘A Love From Outer Space’.
The second remix comes from Timothy J Fairplay, renowned for his work alongside And...

They came to dance: Le Carousel The Remix Album is the club friendly version. Remixes of each track on the album by techno legends and talents, Phil's peers and his inspiration. The tracks have been ruthlessly selected by Phil Kieran so that it flows like a fine D.J. Set.
Many great remixes were left out because they didn't quite fit, but then again that's the standard we all expect from PKR. The result is astonishing, it both stands proudly on its own two feet and as a nod to the original Le Carousel, enhancing rather than imitating its sound. The honours go to Andrew Weatherall, David Holmes, Max Cooper, The Hacker, Roel Hoogendoorn, Ivan Smagghe, Felix Martin, Jesse Somfay and Phil himself. Buy it with the original album or on its own, either way it's a stone cold classic.
Selected Feedback
"I dont usually dabble in the dark arts of P.R. but after hearing Le Carousel I set about running off copies and giving them to people I thought should hear it ( pretty much my entire address book )" Andrew Weatherall
"A blissed-out album of reflective songcraft, tinged with time-lapse psychedelia" DJ Magazine January 2013 "Have had the album on repeat, really feelin it...
awesome work" Bicep
"Fucking loved every seconds of it .......Loooooved it " Laurent Garnier
"It's beautiful, unusual , unexpected and amazing." Felix Martin ( Hot Chip )
"It's fantastic... The mix and the vocals on everything is pristine" Matthew Dear
"Your album is super cool.. im really impressed, nice 1". Jamie Jones
"Absolutely loving it! :) Really nice!!" Maya Jane Coles
"Got it on now ....and it is GREAT! Well done really lovely" Peter Hook ( Joy Division )

Phil Kieran makes his first appearance on Thick As Thieves as the renowned DJ/producer delivers his latest single ‘Lunar Launch’, with Melbourne favourites Ben Silver & Brian Fantana on remix duties.
With remixes for the likes of Depeche Mode and Green Velvet and his own music remixed by the late great Andrew Weatherall, multi-faceted DJ and producer. Phil Kieran is an individual whose two-decade-long career eclipses most within the realms of electronic music and beyond. Releasing material via the likes of Hotflush, Optimo Music, Cocoon and Hot Creations, the Belfast talent’s extended musical scope extends to EBM band Alloy Metal and live act Le Carousel, alongside his first escapades into the world of soundtracks with his film score of ‘Nightride’ earlier this year. Returning to the dancefloor, mid-December sees the Northern Irishman head down under as he makes his first outing for Melbourne-based collective Thick As Thieves with ‘Lunar Launch’ - accompanied by a remix from Revolver Upstairs residents Ben Silver and Brian Fantana.
A slow-blooming deep dive through rich soundscapes, hypnotic synths and shadowy textures, ‘Lunar Launch’ welcomes a cosmic trip through intense atmospheres to showcase a production set to capture the imagination of global dancefloors. Delivering their own interpretation, Sunday favourites Silver and Fantana harness the original’s spellbinding qualities while introducing a deeply rooted bubbling bassline to carry the track deep into the late-night hours.
