What Is Kokanee Creek Provincial Park Campground Near Nelson British Columbia Like? I will show you
Kokanee is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have stayed at. It is large with wooded private campsites, a large group campsite, running water and toilets, amazing beach, nice hiking trails, not to mention the spectacular Kokanee salmon spawning in late summer. Everyone should experience this park at least once!

HIKING TO KOKANEE LAKE | Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park | British Columbia
Saturday June 29th, 2019! For the weekend, we took a spontaneous road trip vacation north to Nelson, BC. Throughout the trip we goofed around, ate bad, and visited Ainsworth Hot Springs as well.
This video showcases our hike to Kokanee Lake in Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park. It was awesome and a very scenic hike. The Trailhead to this hike begins at Gibson Lake in which we car camped in the night before, which was just as scenic as Kokanee Lake minus the 4.5km/2.9mi hike! You can see Gibson Lake in the very last shot of this video.
We made it to Kokanee Lake in right around two hours. It wasn’t a bad hike at all. Once there, we planned on trekking onwards to Kaslo Lake, but due to weather we decided to turn around and head back for the car. This hike is definitely recommended if you’r...

Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, in British Columbia’s, Kootenay Rockies
🇨🇦 I’m craving being outside more and more these days, so tonight’s #travelmemory takes us to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, in British Columbia’s, Kootenay Rockies.
Along with a number of trails that wind through old-growth forest, elevated boardwalks provide multiple creek views that include a salmon channel. (Mid-August through the end of September Kokanee salmon flood the water to spawn.)

The Kokanee Glacier Cabin hike is a stunning scenic hike in Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park, Nelson British Columbia, Canada. Starting at Gibson Lake, the hike to Kokanee Glacier Cabin is a beautiful way to explore the wilderness, not too far from the towns of Nelson or Kaslo.
https://www.10adventures.com/hikes/west-kootenays/kokanee-glacier-cabin-hike/
Remember to bring chicken wire to protect your vehicle from porcupines if staying over night on this hike.
While we show this as a day trip, this is also a spectacular overnight trip, and staying at the ACC’s Kokanee Cabin is quite a special experience.
The hike to Kokanee Glacier Cabin is also known as the Kokanee Lake Trail. This hike starts at the back of the Slocan Chief Cabin & Kokanee Lake Trailhead. This is a large parking lot. From the parking lot, this hike climbs steeply upwards on switch backs until you reach Kokanee Lake. There are plenty of Marmots here waiting to eat your lunch crumbs, as well as a pit toilet and lots of places along the lakeside to stop and eat lunch.
If you choose to continue onwards from Kokanee Lake, you will walk along the west side of Kokanee Lake over the boulders before reaching the grassy meadows filled with flowers and streams. The trail is easy to follow as it winds up the valley. You will catch a glimpse of Keen Lake on your left as you continue on the path. Soon afterwards you pass by the edge of Garland Lake.
Before you know it, you’ll come to a junction, with the left path going down to the ACC’s Kokanee Cabin and the pretty Kaslo Lake, while the right path goes towards and Slocan Chief Cabin. If you stay overnight, the path to Slocan Chief Cabin and beyond is a good day hike.
Kaslo Lake has a lot of nice places to stop and rest and enjoy the day before heading back down, or you can camp or book a night in the new and luxurious Kokanee Cabin. Be warned – it books out almost a year in advance for summer nights so be sure to make a booking well in advance if this is where you’d like to be.
To head back, retrace your steps back to your car.

Welcome back to our Canada RV Vlog friends! Today we share one of the Best BC Provincial Parks for Family Camping, or just RV Camping in general perhaps! It's Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, located right near the town of Nelson in the West Kootenay's of BC, Canada. So sit back, enjoy the views of nature in Canada and experience what RV Living in Canada could be like for yourself!
Picking up from the last Class C RV vlog where we pulled in to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park on Alysha's birthday, we get to actually explore this awesome BC Park. We loved that they kept all their kids programs running, which is why we saw it's awesome for Family camping trips, each day the kids can learn new things and have activities to attend. We also loved the Nature Center. We got so lucky RV Camping here during the start of Kokanee season as well. If you're looking for a great BC Camping experience catching the full spawn would be great. We also did an RV Campground in the later half of the RV Vlog so stick around to hear about campsite options!
Otherwise we hope this showed you what the RV lifestyle looks like for us, and what Full time RV living could look like if you chose to hop around to different campgrounds at each max stay. This was our Class C RV living experience too of course, but we want to someday experience having a vehicle truck and trailer style to get out more and try RV camping with a bit more mobility. Thanks for watching this Class C RV Living vlog and we'll catch you in our next RV Travel video otherwise, cheers friends!
