Keren, formerly known as Cheren and Sanhit, is the second-largest city in Eritrea. It is situated around 91 kilometers northwest of Asmara, at an elevation of 1,390 meters from sea-level. The town sprawls on a wide basin surrounded by granitic mountains on all sides. It serves as the capital of the Ansebaregion, and is home to the Bilen ethnic group.
As of 2010, Keren has a population of around 146,483 inhabitants. Residents belong to various, mainly Afro-Asiatic-speaking ethnic groups, of which the Bilen and the Tigre are predominant. The Tigrinya also have a presence.
Climate
Keren's climate is semi-desert hot during summer and cold during winter. The rainy season extends from mid-June to mid-September. From October to February, the town experiences the cool winter season. The climate heats up from March to June, though the nights are pleasant.
Eritrea (/ˌɛrᵻˈtreɪ.ə/ or /ˌɛrᵻˈtriːə/;, officially the State of Eritrea, is a country in the East Africa. With its capital at Asmara, it is bordered by Sudan in the west, Ethiopia in the south, and Djibouti in the southeast. The northeastern and eastern parts of Eritrea have an extensive coastline along the Red Sea. The nation has a total area of approximately 117,600km2 (45,406sqmi), and includes the Dahlak Archipelago and several of the Hanish Islands. Its name Eritrea is based on the Greek name for the Red Sea (Ἐρυθρὰ Θάλασσα Erythra Thalassa), which was first adopted for Italian Eritrea in 1890.
Eritrea is a multi-ethnic country, with nine recognized ethnic groups in its population of around six million. Most residents speak Afroasiatic languages, either of the Semitic or Cushitic branches. Among these communities, the Tigrinya make up about 55% of the population, with the Tigre people constituting around 30% of inhabitants. In addition, there are a number of Nilo-Saharan-speaking Nilotic ethnic minorities. Most people in the territory adhere to Christianity or Islam.
The Italian colonial ship Eritrea (named officially nave appoggio Eritrea in the Italian Navy) was constructed in the Castellammare Shipyards near Napoli. Construction started in 1935 and she was commissioned in 1937. She served mainly in the Indian and western Pacific Oceans
Design
The Eritrea (2,170 tons displacement) was constructed for duties as a typical "colonial ship" and was sometimes referred to as a "sloop." She had a novel diesel-electric machinery outfit designed to maximise range.
She was armed with four 120mm guns, two 40mm guns, and two 13.2mm machine guns. The ship also had an extensive engineering workshop on board and could provide repair support to Italian submarines based in East Africa.
A modified sister ship to be called Etiopia was planned, but cancelled on the outbreak of war.
Service
Following Italy's declaration of war on 10 June 1940, colonial ship Eritrea became part of the Italian Royal Navy (Regia Marina). Eritrea was part of the Italian Navy's Red Sea Flotilla located at the port of Massawa in Eritrea.

HELLO FROM COUNTRY #172 - ERITREA!
I'm thrilled to be back in Africa where I will spend the remaining 3 months of the year! Many of you probably haven’t heard of Eritrea before and that’s because it’s a relatively new country and it’s notoriously difficult to enter (top 5 in the world). After 48 hours of roaming around the capital of Asmara and the ancient port city of Massawa, I’ve really enjoyed my time here.
I’m getting flashbacks to when I was in Ethiopia, yet also touches of Yemen Somaliland and Italy. Yes - ITALY! Eritrea is a former Italian colony and their influence is remarkably well-preserved in the form of giant cathedrals, pizza parlors, gelato shops, old Ita...

Eritrea, Africa: Where Time Stands Still | No Internet, No Electricity, No Tourists
Embark on a captivating journey through Eritrea, a country in Africa where time stands still. There’s no internet, barely any electricity and no tourists in hotels. It has elegance of Italy’s ex-colony and a trail of sorrow from ruins from war. One of Africa’s safest destinations, yet this country is often compared to North Korea, ruled by a dictator-president. Discover Asmara’s rich history, vintage furniture and authentic coffee tradition in my latest travel video!

The capital of Asmara is VERY safe, with kind-hearted people and surprisingly the weather is cold here (2,400 meters high). Unfortunately due to WiFi issues, I haven't been able to upload anything until now, but there’s no hurry because life is wonderful here! More to come soon 🇪🇷

Music Black Angel - The end of war

This article is about the view of fallen angels in Christianity. For other uses, see Fallen angel (disambiguation).
"Rebel angels" redirects here. For other uses, see Rebel Angels (disambiguation).
Statue of the Fallen Angel, Retiro Park (Madrid, Spain).
Statue of "The Fallen Angels" (1893) by Salvatore Albano at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.
In religion, a fallen angel is a wicked or rebellious angel that has been cast out of heaven. The term "fallen angel" does not appear in the Bible, but it is used of angels who sinned (such as those referred to in 2 Peter 2:4, "For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment..."), of angels cast down to the earth in the War in Heaven or of certain Watchers.
Mention of angels who physically descended (and figuratively "fell") to Mount Hermon is found in the Book of Enoch, which the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church accept as canonical, as well as in various pseudepigrapha.

Eritrea is a former Italian colony and their influence is remarkably well-preserved in the form of giant cathedrals, pizza parlors, gelato shops, old Italian cars, appertivos and many people can still speak fluent Italiano.

Eritrea is located in East Africa, in the "Horn of Africa". It is a very hard country to not only get a visa, but also to travel within the country. Eritrea is one of the youngest countries in the world, after gaining its independence in 1993.
It has a lot of beauty and wonders to discover, and some of the friendliest people you will meet.
This countries is full of restrictions which makes it very challenging as a tourist. It has also been colonized many times, with Italy having the most profound and lasting influence on it.
Asmara is the beautiful capital of Eritrea, and in the video I will show you around the city, and taking you through all of the restrictions so that you will know what to expect.
This is part one of three videos in my Eritrea series.
Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Marine engineering includes the engineering of boats, ships, oil rigs and any other marine vessel or structure, as well as oceanographic engineering or ocean engineering. Specifically, marine engineering is the discipline of applying engineering sciences, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, and computer science, to the development, design, operation and maintenance of watercraft propulsion and on-board systems and oceanographic technology. It includes but is not limited to power and propulsion plants, machinery, piping, automation and control systems for marine vehicles of any kind, such as surface ships and submarines.

This article is about the view of fallen angels in Christianity. For other uses, see Fallen angel (disambiguation).
