Kany Garcia is the third studio album of Latin Grammy winner, singer-songwriter Kany García. The album will be release on July 31, 2012 and produced by Kany García, Julio Reyes Copello and Paul Forat Sony BMG. The album's first single "Que Te Vaya Mal" was nominated for Record of the Year at the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards. The album was nominated for "Best Latin Pop Album" at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

Album information

The album was recorded in Bogota, Colombia. The live version of the album, which was recorded for a mini-movie/live concert type available as part of the CD/DVD set or iTunes digital format was recorded in the Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogota.

Promotion

As a part of promotion, Kany released a song from the album each week in July starting with the first single "Que Te Vaya Mal". The other songs released were "Alguien", "Demasiado Bueno" and "Me Quedo".

Singles

"Que Te Vaya Mal" was released as the album's lead single on April 24, 2012.

"Alguien" is chosen as the album second single and will be released sometime in August. It peaked at #8 on Billboard Latin Pop chart.

Encarnita "Kany" García de Jesús (born September 25, 1982) is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter. Born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, García first appeared on television in 2004 as a contestant on Objetivo Fama. She is widely considered the most successful non-winner in the history of the show.

In 2006, García signed a recording contract with Sony BMG, releasing her debut album "Cualquier Día" (2007), which was a commercial success spawning four top 40 singles on the Billboard Latin Tracks. A year later, she released her second studio album, "Boleto De Entrada" (2009), which peaked within the top five of the Billboard Latin albums chart, and produced her first US Top 20 hit single, "Feliz" on Billboard Hot Latin Tracks. With great praise for her work, she has been nominated for 6 Latin Grammy awards and 2 Grammy Awards, and has won Best Female Pop Vocal Album for "Cualquier Día" and Best New Artist in 2008. She released her third studio album "Kany García" on July 31, 2012, where it debuted at #1 on Billboard Latin Pop Charts.
