John Ryan (1925–1992) was an Irish artist, broadcaster, publisher, critic, editor, and publican.
Ryan was a well-known man of letters, artist and a key figure in bohemian Dublin of the 1940s and 1950s. Founded Envoy, A Review of Literature and Art, in response to Irish trade and censorship restrictions. Friend and intimate (and sometime benefactor) to a number of struggling artists and writers in the post-war era, such as Patrick Kavanagh and Brendan Behan; Ryan's memoirs, Remembering How We Stood, evoke literary Dublin of the period 1945-55. Involved in numerous literary events and happenings and, with Brian O'Nolan, organised the first Bloomsday.
John Sydney Ryan (born 23 February 1944) is an Australian former sprint freestyle swimmer of the 1960s, who won a bronze medal in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The Victorian combined with Bob Windle, David Dickson and Peter Doak to win silver in the 4×100 m medley relay, behind the United States and German teams, the first time this event had been contested at the Olympics. He also made the semifinals of the 100-metre freestyle. Ryan later took gold in the 4×110-yard freestyle relay at the 1966 Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica, and finished fourth in the 110-yard freestyle event.
John Ryan (7 October 1761 – 30 September 1847) was a loyalist printer.
Sometime between 1776 and 1780 he became an apprentice to John Howe, in Newport, Rhode Island. John Ryan married Amelia Mott on 22 November 1781 in New York City. He remained in New York until 1783, becoming a partner with William Lewis in the New-York Mercury and General Advertiser.

18 December 1783 - Partner with William Lewis in publishing Royal St. John's Gazette, and Nova-Scotia Intelligencer in Parrtown (later St. John, New Brunswick); the first newspaper in New Brunswick. His relationship with William Lewis dissolved and the publication underwent a name change in 1786 to the St. John Gazette, and Weekly Advertiser with John Ryan as the publisher.
1799 - Acquired the Royal Gazette from Christopher Sower and sold St. John Gazette to Jacob S. Mott.
1807-1830's - Publisher of Newfoundland's first newspaper Royal Gazette and Newfoundland Advertiser, in St. John's, Newfoundland. Took on his son Michael Ryan as partner.

Dublin is the second fastest-growing city in the state of California, behind only Santa Clarita. The population was 46,063 (2010 census), and the 2013 estimate at 49,890. It is forecast that by 2030, the population will grow to about 75,900. Dublin is home to the headquarters of Sybase, Inc, now part of SAP SE, Tria Beauty, Medley Health and Arlen Ness.
Government
The City of Dublin is a general law city operating under a City Council / City Manager form of local government. This form of government combines an elected mayor and council and an appointed local government administrator. The City Council elections are nonpartisan. The Mayor serves a two-year term, and Council members serve four-year terms.
From the 16th Century onwards, the village was part of the Kniaz Vishnevsky region. In the latter half of the 17th Century, the village became part of the Kniaz Konecpolsky region. The village was owned by Rekicky from 1811 onwards. In 1897, the village had a shop, a school, a bakery, two water mills and a forge.
