Heres Why We Never Hear From Kirstie Alley Anymore
Kirstie Alley was once best-known as a sitcom and movie star, famous for her role as Rebecca Howe on Cheers, but these days, she’s probably better known for her controversial views.
The actress’ career has waned considerably since the '90s, her attempted comebacks haven’t been very successful, and her membership in the Church of Scientology hasn’t exactly endeared her to a lot of people. In addition, she is an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump who has also criticized the #MeToo movement, so she’s clearly not afraid to cause a stir. Let’s take a look at why we never hear from Kirstie Alley anymore.

For this role, Kirstie also received an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award. Throughout the 90s, Kirstie would go on to appear in more TV series and film roles, such as Look Who’s Talking and its two sequels, It Takes Two, alongside the Olsen twins – one of my personal faves – and much more. In 2005, Kirstie played a fictionalized version of herself on Showtime’s Fat Actress and appeared on a few reality series too. All in all, she’s definitely kept herself active in Hollywood over the years. The iconic actress and comedian have earned a hefty fortune thanks to her last few decades in TV and movie showbiz, holding a current estimated net worth of about $ 40 million. She’s even used some of that cash to buy some pet lemurs – but I’ll get to that shortly.

Kirstie Louise Alley (born January 12, 1951) is an American actress, comedian and spokesmodel. She is most known for her role in the TV series Cheers, in which she played Rebecca Howe from 1987 to 1993, winning an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award as the "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series" in 1991. She is also known for her role in the thriller Shoot to Kill and the Look Who's Talking film series as Mollie Ubriacco. More recently, Alley has appeared in reality shows revolving around her life.
Early life
Kirstie Alley was born in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Lillian Mickie (née Heaton), a homemaker, and Robert Deal Alley, who owned a lumber company. She has two siblings, Colette and Craig. Alley attended Wichita Southeast High School, graduating in 1969. She attended college at Kansas State University in 1969. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue Scientology and work as an interior designer, Alley appeared as a contestant on the popular game show Match Game in 1979 (not during the "Match Game '79" season). She won both rounds winning $500 in the first round and winning $5500 in the second round. She also appeared on the game show Password Plus in 1980. In 1981, a car accident caused by a drunk driver killed her mother and left her father seriously injured. Her father eventually recovered.

LAWRENCE CRANDELL SAYS: "Oh goodness. Was that you? I'm sorry. I thought it was a table leg. A supple quivering table leg that goes on forever. A natural mistake."
