The HORRIFIC Execution and BURNING ALIVE of Bishop John Hooper
During the reign of Bloody Mary I, (the infamous Tudor monarch who sentenced hundreds of people to death to be burned at the stake) there were a number of Bishops who were targeted for execution. Thomas Cranmer, the Archbishop of Canterbury was one of those burned alive, but a forgotten victim of the brutal Queen was Bishop John Hooper. Hooper was the Bishop of Worcester and Gloucester, but he was a key member of Edward VI's church. He had strong Protestant beliefs, and when Mary I came onto the throne, he was one of the first targets of her persecution.
Bishop John Hooper lost the title of being a Bishop, and was imprisoned inside of Fleet Prison. He was deemed a heretic after being held in prison for a long time, and he was then taken to Gloucester on a market day where he was burned at...

The HORRIFIC Execution Of The 9 Day King - Guildford Dudley
Following the death of King Edward VI, Lady Jane Grey 'The 9 Day Queen' came onto the throne of England. She is remembered today as the shortest reigning monarch in History. She is a tragic figure who was executed on the orders of Bloody Mary I, but when she became Queen her Husband Lord Guildford Dudley expected to be King. For a brief period of days, Guildford tried to maintain that he was the King, and he even addressed himself as 'King Guildford.' However the short and tragic reign of Lady Jane would be over quickly, as Mary I rose up and overthrew her.
Lady Jane Grey and Guildford Dudley were imprisoned inside the Tower of London, and it looked initially as if they would be spared by the notorious Tudor monarch. However as the threat of rebellion loomed, Mary I ordered the execution...

Title: The History of Public Relations
Abstract
As we consider the “history of public relations,” it is reasonable to separate the “practice” from the “scholarship.” Public relations scholarship, certainly as we study it today, is less than a century old. The practice, arguably, is as old as human culture. If we attach public relations practice to reputation, relationship, image, issue, crisis, and risk, it is a timeless as one band seeking to intimidate or cooperate with another band. The historic arc includes trade, government, commerce, and collective or adversarial resource management. Fairs used public relations to foster trade and commerce. Rulers promulgated guidelines for lawful behaviors. Norms became institutionalized. Historical issues including the US theory of the practice reflect back to the 1800s: Barnum, Railroad and Western Expansions, and Battle of the Currents.
As to the history of public relations theory, I would emphasize WWI propaganda, then Bernays (psychology) and John Hill (journalist as rhetor). That gives an issues management, linked to Hill, rationale for the 1970s. Cutlip had been a “theorist” based on rhetorical paradigm, and then spawned Grunig who took a media processes and effects approach based on systems theory/information theory. Lots went on in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, to set the stage for 2000.
I think we must today acknowledge the rhetorical legacy as discursive engagement, strategic issue communication, issue management, crisis, relationship, risk, textuality, culture, and society. In recent years, we have shifted attention to the study of what makes public relations able to serve organizations to what make public relation able to serve society and community.

However as the threat of rebellion loomed, Mary I ordered the execution of Guildford Dudley and Lady Jane Grey. Guildford was taken out of the Tower of London to Tower Hill where on the scaffold he met the executioner and axeman who would take his life.
