St Andrews (Latin:S. Andrea(s);Scots:Saunt Aundraes;Scottish Gaelic:Cill Rìmhinn) is a former royal burgh on the east coast of Fife in Scotland, 10 miles (16km) southeast of Dundee and 30 miles (50km) northeast of Edinburgh. The town is home to the University of St Andrews, the third oldest university in the English-speaking world and the oldest in Scotland. The University is an integral part of the burgh, and during term time students make up approximately one third of the town's population. St Andrews has a population of 16,680, making it the fifth largest settlement in Fife.
The town is named after Saint Andrew the Apostle. There has been an important church in St Andrews since at least the 8th century, and a bishopric since at least the 11th century. The settlement grew to the west of St Andrews cathedral with the southern side of the Scores to the north and the Kinness burn to the south. The burgh soon became the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, a position which was held until the Scottish Reformation. The famous cathedral, the largest in Scotland, now lies in ruins.
The song "St. Andrews" features guest vocals from Alexisonfire's Wade McNeil. The songs "Until We Burn in the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Love Song)" and "Nico on the Night Train" are featured on a sampler from Dine Alone Records.
The album debuted at #2 on the Canadian Albums Chart, selling over 8,000 copies in its first week. The album was certified Gold by the CRIA in 2008 for sales of over 50,000 copies in Canada.

"Until We Burn in the Sun (The Kids Just Want a Love Song)" – 3:54
Constructed and opened in 1906 to replace the Muntz Street ground, which had become too small to meet the club's needs, the original St Andrew's could hold an estimated 75,000 spectators, housed in one grandstand and a large uncovered terrace. The attendance record, variously recorded as 66,844 or 67,341, was set at a 1939 FA Cup tie against Everton. During the Second World War, St Andrew's suffered bomb damage and the grandstand, housing a temporary fire station, burned down in an accidental fire. In the 1950s, the club replaced the stand and installed floodlights, and later erected a second small stand and roofed over the open terraces, but there were few further changes.
The ground became dilapidated: a boy was killed when a wall collapsed during rioting in the 1980s. When new owners took the club out of administration in 1993, they began a six-year redevelopment programme during which the ground was converted to an all-seater stadium to comply with the Taylor Report into safety at sports grounds, and all areas apart from the Main Stand were completely rebuilt. The seating capacity of the modern stadium is just over 30,000. It has function rooms suitable for business or social events and a club store selling Birmingham City merchandise. A 2004 proposal that the club should sell the ground and move into a multi-purpose City of Birmingham Stadium remains speculative. In 2013, the ground was listed as an Asset of Community Value under the Localism Act 2011.
In 1553 the Italian physician Gerolamo Cardano cured him of a disease that had left him speechless and was thought incurable. The diplomat Thomas Randolph recorded the "merry tales" rumoured about his methods still current in Edinburgh nine years later. Cardano himself wrote that the Archbishop had been short of breath for ten years, and after the cure was effected by his assistant, he was paid 1,400 gold crowns. While the Archbishop was unwell, his brother was persuaded to give up the Regency of Scotland to Mary of Guise.
John Hamilton was born in York County, Pennsylvania (now Adams). He moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 1783. He was commissioned lieutenant colonel of militia in 1786 and brigadier general in 1800. He was major general of the Fourteenth Division of Militia of Washington and Greene Counties in 1807. He was appointed high sheriff of Washington County by GovernorThomas Mifflin in 1793 and served until November 1, 1796. He was a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1796 to 1805 and an associate judge of Washington County from 1802 to 1805. He was a member of the first board of trustees of Jefferson college (now Washington & Jefferson College) in Washington, Pennsylvania, serving from 1802 to 1831.
Hamilton was elected as a Republican to the Ninth Congress. He was again appointed associate judge of Washington County on May 31, 1820, and served until his death at his home near Ginger Hill, Pennsylvania. Interment in Mingo Cemetery, near Monongahela, Pennsylvania.
John Hamilton (died December 12, 1816) was a military officer in the British Army, and the commander of the Royal North Carolina Regiment of Loyalist militia during the American Revolutionary War from 1777 to 1783. Prior to the Revolution, Hamilton was a successful merchant in Halifax, North Carolina, with business interests throughout the Province of North Carolina. Hamilton commanded soldiers in several major engagements, including the battles of Briar Creek, Camden, Guilford Courthouse, and Yorktown. After the conclusion of the war, Hamilton was made British consul to Norfolk, Virginia, one of only three Loyalists to receive consular positions in the newly created United States.
Early life and business
Born in Scotland, Hamilton immigrated to Nansemond County, Virginia at some point prior to 1760, where other members of his family had already established businesses. Hamilton formed a partnership with two of his brothers, Archibald and William, who had set up a trading center near Halifax in North Carolina. Hamilton's venture extended credit to a number of planters throughout the burgeoning Piedmont region of the province, which has been cited as a major factor in that region's development during the colonial era. Much of the firm's activities relied on regular trade with and credit from the rest of the British empire, and so the beginning of the American Revolution signalled the end of Hamilton's commercial successes.
Teaching and Research topics include 18th- and 19th-century Literature, Classical Philology and Reception History, Music and Literature, Literary Theory and Political Metaphorology.
From 1985 to 1996 Hamilton was the guitarist and principal songwriter, together with Donna Croughn, for the band Tiny Lights, based in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The HARDEST Hole In Golf | 17th At St Andrews - Road | Open Moments
It is arguably the most challenging hole at St Andrews. Road - the 17th hole on the Old Course is known worldwide as one of golf's toughest tests.

There are many ways in which a player can approach this hole in the pursuit of the Claret Jug, but one thing is for sure, you cannot win the Open Championship on the 17th, but you can certainly lose it.

Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.
