James A. "Jim" Myers (November 12, 1921 – July 17, 2014) was an American football coach. He coached for 40 years at the collegiate and professional level. He is probably most remembered for his time as line coach and (since 1971) associated head coach with the Dallas Cowboys under Tom Landry. He was also an offseason member of the Card-Pitt team in 1944, playing as a guard. Card-Pitt was the contraction of the Cardinals and Steelers teams during World War II and was generally considered one of the worst teams in history, finishing 0–10 and outscored by 220 points.
"That's asking a lot. It certainly will make it tougher to get to state."
"We had a lot of kids who got a lot of minutes out there tonight. I think our depth is starting to develop a little bit. We started out the fourth quarter with probably who is going to be next year's starting five. And they did alright."
"I think people are starting to know their roles. It's not just Inger (Hodgson) and Katie (Sutter), although those two can carry us if they have to."
"We're still working on getting digital microscopes and computers."
"We have to work on our shooting. We've had our chances but we don't capitalize on them. Other teams do and that's hurting us."
"The second quarter we did a better job on the trap and rotated the ball a lot better and got our hands on a few steals."
"I thought coming into this we were evenly matched. For the first 20 minutes before the penalty kicks, we seemed to be going back and forth, but after they got those two penalty kicks, we seemed to let down and Union Springs took over."
"The start was definitely the difference. Jumping out like we did. The kids played great on defense. I thought they moved their feet. They were tipping balls away. Then on the other side we were finishing."
"We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward."
🎙 E130: Do You Believe in Bigfoot? with Jim Myers of The Sasquatch Outpost | The Johnny King Show
Bigfoot has been a fascination of mine for quite some time. Why? I honestly don’t have a clue. Perhaps the wounded inner child in me needed something to believe in after realizing that Santa, the tooth fairy and leprechaun were fake. Haha No seriously though, I’ve watched a ton of documentaries and I really do believe that they’re real and because of this, through various contacts, did I get put in touch with Jim Myers who owns the Sasquatch Outpost, just an hour from where I live in Denver. So? I sat down in his Bigfoot music and this episode is the result!

He was three years out of college, A damned good engineer. Worked hard all day, then he partied away. Things were happy on the old frontier. Had a plan for taking life easy, Avoiding the kids and a wife. He drove all the women crazy. These were the three best years of his life. Then the corporate boys they called him And said we’ve got a job to do. Got this problem up in North Dakota And we need a man just like you. But the sound of the plains and the freezing rain Hit him like a fatal disease. Put a beer to his mouth, took 95-South And he headed for the Keys. CHORUS: And it’s just the sweetest life he’s ever tasted, A little laid back and key wasted. He’s got his toes in the sand, he’s a tropical man He’s happy as hell and it shows. He’s just living in a drunken stupor, Making some money on that old square grouper. Never had any doubt and if it doesn’t work out, Well, that’s just the way it goes. Got a job making margaritas In a little bar by the pier, Till he finally made some connections With some big-time buccaneers. Now he spends some time in Cartagena Making plans for the haul. Might be dealing with bums, might be dangerous to some But the old boy is having a ball. REPEAT CHORUS Now his friends all worry about him; They think he’s throwing his future away. It’s kind of hard being upwardly mobile When you’re laying in the sun all day. So they call him up to convince him And tell him what it’s all about. But on the phone he can never stop laughing, He’s got the whole damned thing figured out.
