Charlotte Lucie Marie Adèle Stephanie Adrienne Faës, known by her stage name Jehanne d'Alcy (20 March 1865 – 14 October 1956), was a French film actress. She was the wife of French cinema pioneer Georges Méliès from 1926 until his death in 1938.
D'Alcy had achieved success in theatrical productions by 1896, but left the stage to devote herself to film, becoming one of the first performers to do so.

Jehanne d'Alcy as Young woman
Jules-Eugène Legris as Mephistopheles (unconfirmed)
Notes:
*****************
- The film can technically be considered the first horror film (and, because it includes a transformation involving a bat, it has even been called the first vampire film)
- It was presumed lost until 1988, when a copy was found in the New Zealand Film Archive.
- The Haunted Castle was filmed outside in the garden of Méliès's property in Montreuil, Seine-Saint-Denis, with painted scenery.
- The film is also innovative in length - its running time of over three minutes was ambitious for its era.
- In Méliès's era, film actors performed anonymously and no credits were provided.
- It is known that Jehanne d'Alcy plays the woman who comes out of the cauldron.
- The film historian Georges Sadoul hypothesized that the Devil in the film was played by Jules-Eugène Legris
