According to legend, the Pandavas of Mahabharata fame concealed their weapons on a "Jammi" tree (Shami Vruksha ) before embarking on the final year of their fourteen years of banishment into the forests during which period they have to remain incognito (Agnathavasam). During their stay, King Dharmaraja and his mother Kunthi Devi sanctified the idols of Sri Tripurantaka Swamy and Sri Janardhana Swamy, at this place. About five hundred years ago the local people unearthed an idol of Sri Madhava Swamy while quarrying for sandstone on the nearby rocky knoll. They installed it in between the earlier two temples and built a third temple named after Sri Venugopalaswamy (another name of Lord Krishna). The twin Jammi trees at the Tripurtantaka Swamy temple are considered to be holy and have miraculous healing properties. The temple is in existence at least for a thousand years as per the stone inscription on site. Modern day geologists have estimated that the Shivalinga extends more than 179feet deep in to the earth. No wonder it is called a "Swayambhu Linga". Pilgrims from the north coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh come here during the holy month of Karthik for the ritual Pujas.
Nur ad-Dīn Abd ar-Rahmān Jāmī (Persian:نورالدین عبدالرحمن جامی) also known as Mawlanā Nūr al-Dīn 'Abd al-Rahmān or Abd-Al-Rahmān Nur-Al-Din Muhammad Dashti, or simply as Jami or DJāmī and in Turkey as Molla Cami (August 18, 1414 – November 17, 1492), is known for his achievements as a scholar, mystic, writer, composer of numerous lyrics and idylls, historian, and the greatest Sufi poets of the 15th century. Jami was primarily an outstanding poet-theologian of the school of Ibn Arabi and a prominent Khwājagānī Sũfī. He was recognized for his eloquent tongue and ready at repartee who analyzed the idea of the metaphysics of mercy. Among his famous poetical works are Haft Awrang, Tuhfat al-Ahrar, Layla wa -Majnun, Fatihat al-Shabab, Lawa'ih, Al-Durrah al-Fakhirah.
Biography
Jami was born in Jam, (modern Ghor Province, Afghanistan). However, an article in the Encyclopedia Iranica claims that Jami was born in the hamlet of Ḵarjerd, in Khorasan. Previously his father Nizām al-Dīn Ahmad b. Shams al-Dīn Muhammad had come from Dasht, a small town in the district of Isfahan. A few years after his birth, his family migrated to the cultural city of Herat where he was able to study Peripateticism, mathematics, Arabic literature, natural sciences, language, logic, rhetoric and Islamic philosophy at the Nizamiyyah University of Herat. His father became his first teacher and mentor, who was also a Sufi. While in Herat, Jami was a central role and function of the Timurid court, involved in the politics, economics, philosophy, religion, and Persian culture.

Early life
Jami, watching Star Wars in 1977, knew he was hooked to the passion of cinema, and he studied film at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in the United States. In 1998 returned to his home, Karachi and formed the production company azadfilm.

Jami's directorial debut "Pal do Pal" changed the landscape for music videos in Pakistan. Since then he has done numerous award winning, critically acclaimed videos for pop bands and singers including Strings, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Fusion - Shafqat Amanat Ali, Ali Azmat and Hadiqa Kiyani.

Vizianagaram was ruled by different Hindu emperors of Kalinga The area including Srikakulam in the north was integral part of the domain of Eastern Chalukyas of Vengi during the rule of Kubja Vishnuvardhana (624- 641). During his rule the Vengi kingdom had expanded from Srikakulam in the north to Nellore in the south. They patronised Telugu.[7] It was under the rule of Kakatiya Dynasty of Warangal during the rule of Ganapati Deva in 13th century CE. The area was overrun by the neighboring Gajapatis for some time. The Vijayanagara empire fought several wars and ultimately drove out the Gajapatis. The area was under the rule of illustrious Krishna Deva Raya of Vijayanagara Empire too. After a brief rule from Golconda, the rule of Nizam state of Hyderabad followed. Nizams ruled for the period 1707 to 1753. Srikakulam to the immediate north was the headquarters for revenue collection of Rajahmundry, Eluru, Kondapalli as well as Srikakulam district. The French defeated and ended the rule of Nizam in 1753, these all districts were thereafter part of French India in 1753. However French imperialists too could not hold their sway over here for a long time, and were soon driven out from here by British imperialists, during 1756 in Anglo-French wars.
