"Instinct" is the second episode of the second season of the American science fictiontelevision seriesDollhouse and the show's 15th episode overall. The episode was written by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters and directed by Marita Grabiak, the first in the series she has directed. It aired in the United States on Fox on October 2, 2009.
In this episode, Echo has been imprinted as a mother of a child. However Topher has managed to change Echo on a glandular level, giving Echo strong maternal instincts. This unfortunately causes Echo to be paranoid causing her to kidnap the child. Ballard not only has to find Echo, but is forced to face his past as Madeline Costley, known to Ballard as Mellie, comes back into the Dollhouse for a diagnostic.
Plot
The episode starts with Ballard walking into Topher's office inspecting the chair. Topher walks in and they discuss Echo's current engagement. Topher notes that he has just opened up a new world to imprinting. By making changes to the brain, he can theoretically program it to fight cancer or even be telekinetic.
The film examines the mind of anthropologist Ethan Powell (Hopkins) who has been missing for a few years, living in the jungle with gorillas. He had been convicted of killing and injuring several supposed Wilderness Park Rangers in Africa, and is sent to prison. A bright young psychiatrist (Gooding) tries to find out why he killed them, but becomes entangled in a quest to learn the true history and nature of humankind. Eventually it is revealed that during the course of his stay with the gorillas, the animals accepted Powell as part of their group and that he was attempting to protect his gorilla family when the rangers arrived and started shooting them. He gets a hearing to reveal the truth, but an attack by a vicious guard causes Powell to stop talking again. At the end of the film, Powell escapes from prison, using a pen to dig out the lock on a window and heads back to Africa.
Wong Tin (Adam Cheng) is a wealthy businessman in Hong Kong. Although he is honest and righteous, he is framed by a business rival. Pau Man-lung (Ekin Cheng) is a ICAC agent tasked with investigating the case. Mutual respect soon develops among Wong Tin and Man-lung. After Man-lung loses his job, he start to work under Wong Tin with his best friend Poon Long-ching (Roger Kwok).
Although Wong Tin is a successful businessman, his personal life is not in good shape. He is divorced and his eldest daughter Wong Lui (Amy Kwok) resents him. Wong Lui develop feelings for Man-lung after her mother died in a car crash. However, Man-lung had already fallen in love with Lam Ching-lit (Nadia Chan).
Animals are multicellular, eukaryoticorganisms of the kingdomAnimalia (also called Metazoa). All animals are motile, meaning they can move spontaneously and independently, at some point in their lives. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their lives. All animals are heterotrophs: they must ingest other organisms or their products for sustenance.
The word "animal" comes from the Latin animalis, meaning having breath, having soul or living being. In everyday non-scientific usage the word excludes humans– that is, "animal" is often used to refer only to non-human members of the kingdom Animalia; often, only closer relatives of humans such as mammals, or mammals and other vertebrates, are meant. The biological definition of the word refers to all members of the kingdom Animalia, encompassing creatures as diverse as sponges, jellyfish, insects, and humans.
Animal is a non-fiction coffee table book edited by David Burnie, who was the main-editor, and several co-authors. The full title of the book is: Animal: The Definitive Visual Guide to The World's WildLife. The 624-page book was published by Dorling Kindersley in 2001. The book is printed in full gloss paper and has numerous, full-color pictures.
While living in Chicago, Laurinatis met Michael Hegstrand, later known as Road Warrior Hawk, and the two became close friends. When Laurinaitis was around eight years old, he and Hegstrand both moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota Laurinaitis grew up in Minnesota, having to work for a living from a very early age. He attended Irondale High School. Because of his size and love of power lifting, Laurinaitis was an imposing figure and thus a very effective bouncer. He worked as a bouncer at Grandma B's in the Twin Cities where he caught the eye of Eddie Sharkey, a well known wrestling trainer. Sharkey thought that Laurinaitis and Mike Hegstrand, Richard Rood, and Barry Darsow could make it big in professional wrestling, and trained all four of them.
Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft, white, and fluffy structure, unless subjected to external pressure. Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Types that fall in the form of a ball due to melting and refreezing, rather than a flake, are hail, ice pellets or snow grains.
The process of precipitating snow is called snowfall. Snowfall tends to form within regions of upward movement of air around a type of low-pressure system known as an extratropical cyclone. Snow can fall poleward of these systems' associated warm fronts and within their comma head precipitation patterns (called such due to the comma-like shape of the cloud and precipitation pattern around the poleward and west sides of extratropical cyclones). Where relatively warm water bodies are present, for example because of water evaporation from lakes, lake-effect snowfall becomes a concern downwind of the warm lakes within the cold cyclonic flow around the backside of extratropical cyclones. Lake-effect snowfall can be heavy locally. Thundersnow is possible within a cyclone's comma head and within lake effect precipitation bands. In mountainous areas, heavy snow is possible where upslope flow is maximized within windward sides of the terrain at elevation, if the atmosphere is cold enough. Snowfall amount and its related liquid equivalent precipitation amount are measured using a variety of different rain gauges.

Scientists Brought This Extinct Species Back To Life
Scientists brought an extinct species back to life using some high-tech wizardry. This time, it's the Crassigyrinus scoticus, a 330 million-year-old crocodile-like creature that looks like a tadpole. We can only hope they don't accidentally create a real-life Jurassic Park situation.

Extinction is a very serious issue facing our world today. However, when it comes to some of these extinct animals, we have to admit, we're kind of glad they’re gone. If you have a phobia for bugs, worms or snakes, you will be unhappy to know our ancestors faced and survived worst creatures. Today, let’s check out top 30 terrifying animals we are so glad are extinct.
1. Andrewsarchus
These scary animals lived during the Eocene Epoch age, 45 to 36 million years ago. They were giant carnivorous mammals, at 1.8 meters in height and 3.6 meters in length. According to paleontologists, the animals could have weighed up to 1.8 metric tons, making them the largest predators among the mammals on land. They had a complete set of placental dental formula that comprised 3 incisors, 1 canine, 4 premolars and 3 molars in each side of its jaws. Meaning they were entelodonts.
2. Deinosuchus
Sounds like suckers of dinosaurs. I wonder why. This scary monster is an extinct animal similar to modern day alligators and crocodiles. It lived between 80 and 73 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period. Measuring up to 12 meters in length and weighing 6.5 metric tons, this giant crocodile had large, sharp teeth. Deinosuchus was capable of eating large dinosaurs. It also had a preference for sea turtles, fish, and other aquatic and terrestrial prey.
3. Dunkleosteus
This extinct creature was a large carnivorous fish, which lived 380 to 360 million years ago, during the Late Devonian period. It was an efficient and voracious predator thanks to its size. A Dunkleosteus could reach up to 10 meters in length and weigh 4 metric tons. On the bright side, despite its enormous size, its head and chest were covered with articulated armored plates, which made it a slow but very powerful swimmer.
4. Arthropleura
This wild animal was the largest species of invertebrate of its time. It lived 340 to 280 million years ago, from the Lower Carboniferous Period to the lower Permian Period, in today’s North America. Despite its massive 2-meter-frame, the Arthropleura was not a carnivorous predator, but herbivore. I’m talking about a worm. Indeed a potential subject for a thriller Reddit story. Fossilized footprints from Arthropleura have been found in many places. They appear as long, parallel rows of small prints, which show that it moved quickly across the forest floor, swerving to avoid obstacles, such as trees and rocks.
Let’s canter on.
5. Arctodus
This short-faced bear, is an extinct wild animal that inhabited North America during the Pleistocene period. It is one of the most recent creatures on the list, as it roamed the Earth until 11,000 years ago. Despite this, its size is characteristic of prehistoric animals. The Arctodus could reach 3.5 meters in height when standing, and weighed more than 1 metric ton. Like many other large Pleistocene animals, the short-faced bear lost much of its food supply with the arrival of humans in the Americas. Thank you Americans. I mean it.
6. Megalodon
The Megalodon is a massive prehistoric ocean animal that lived between 2 and 1.5 million years ago during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene era. Its name means “big tooth”, and you can imagine why. Thanks to its incredible size of up to 18 meters, it is considered one of the largest and most powerful predators that ever existed on Earth. It could weigh up to 65 metric tons, looked like a giant, more terrifying version of the modern great white shark, and could be found worldwide.
7. Titanoboa
Currently, the largest snake on Earth is the green anaconda, with a length of 6 to 9 meters and 180 to 250 kilograms in weight. However, 58 million years ago, during the Paleocene age, the now extinct Titanoboa roamed this Earth. It was the largest and heaviest snake of its time. Researchers estimate that the Titanoboa could measure up to 12 meters in length and weighed approximately 1.1 metric tons. Their diet generally consisted of crocodiles and turtles. Bon a petit, titanic Boa.
8. Cameroceras
This sea and ocean monster was an ancient and giant ancestor of modern squids and octopus. It lived in the Ordovician era, 470 to 460 million years ago, especially in the ocean. The most distinctive features of the mollusk were the huge cone-like shells and tentacles which it used to trap fish and other sea creatures for dinner. It weighed roughly 900 kilograms or 2,000 pounds, and measured 6 to 12 meters or 20 to 40 feet.
Which ones freaked you the most? What will you do if they came back? Share your thoughts in the comments section.

The most distinctive features of the mollusk were the huge cone-like shells and tentacles which it used to trap fish and other sea creatures for dinner. It weighed roughly 900 kilograms or 2,000 pounds, and measured 6 to 12 meters or 20 to 40 feet.

There’ve been loads of dead animals on the roads lately ... To be sure, The Old Farmer’s Almanac has forecast a somewhat colder winter, albeit with an average amount of snow; maybe the critters instinctively sense it.
Volunteer caretakers provide the animals fresh fruits and vegetables and keep tidy grounds for visitors paying $15 a ticket ... Her animals, in the meantime, pace ... These animals have instincts to bond in groups, sometimes for life.
I love animals, especially wild ones. There is an animal called an ermine (I’ve not seen any around JonesboroughLOL) ... The ermine is a short-tailed weasel that has the unique feature of having its fur change to a snow-white color in the winter.
