This mineral looks fake
This is a cube of pyrite (fool's gold), and it kind of looks fake, but it's actually completely natural. Pyrite is able to form in a few different ways, but in my opinion, this cube form is the most interesting.
What I think is odd about fools gold, is that it's shiny and cold like a metal, but it's not a metal at all and it's also very brittle.

0:00 Introduction: The number 1 missing trace mineral in arthritis

0:57 Boron benefits
3:26 How much boron do you need for arthritis?
Today, we’re going to talk about the number 1 missing trace mineral involved in arthritis. Vitamin D and magnesium are often used for arthritis, but they won’t work without enough boron.
There aren't many studies on boron, but there is some promising data involving boron and arthritis. Boron seems to be the key trace mineral that allows calcium and magnesium to work.
If you’re deficient in boron, you’ll have excess calcium and magnesium in the urine and tend to get more calcification in the soft tissu...

1:00 Studies on strontium
1:30 Other nutrients for bone health
2:00 Strontium in microplankton
3:46 How to bulletproof your immune system (free course!)
In this video, we’re going to talk about the best mineral for strengthening your bones. If you have osteopenia or osteoporosis and you want to strengthen your bones, this video is for you.
The missing mineral that many people need to strengthen their bones is strontium. Strontium is a powerful trace mineral. Trace minerals are minerals you need in very small amounts. This is unlike calcium, which you need a lot of for strong bones.
You need strontium and calcium in a 1:1000 ratio.
Studies show that strontium can decrease the risk of bone fractures by up to 41%.
If you have a bone problem, strontium could be a powerful addition to your protocol along with:
• Calcium
• Vitamin D3
• Vitamin K2
• Magnesium
Strontium is also involved in a specific type of microplankton called acantaarian. Unlike other forms of plankton, acantaarian plankton does not fossilize—they dissolve in saltwater. This is why one good source of strontium is sea salt.
REFERENCE:
Study 1 2000-2004: This was a three-year, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, which is considered the "gold standard" for scientific research. Its results were reported in 2004. In a 3-phase trial, researchers randomly assigned 1649 postmenopausal women with osteoporosis to a strontium or placebo group. The strontium group were given 2 gm of oral strontium ranelate per day or placebo for three years. (This supplement contains 750 mg or 1/3 that dose.) Those in the strontium group experienced a 41% reduction in risk of a vertebral fracture, compared with no reduction for the study participants who were given a placebo. In addition, participants receiving strontium experienced an increase of bone mineral density at month 36 by 14.4% at the lumbar spine and 8.3% at the femoral neck, which the placebo group did not.
Study 2 in 2008: This study followed on the heels of two other large double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. Researchers concluded that strontium decreases the risk of vertebral fractures by 41% over 3 years and by 49% within the first year of treatment. It also decreases the risk of non-vertebral fractures by 16% over three years and for high-risk patients, the risk of hip fracture is decreased by an astounding 36% over 3 years. In 5-year followups of these double-blind, placebo-controlled studies, researchers found that the anti-fracture protection of strontium continues over time. Even better, the effectiveness of strontium is not adversely affected by a number of significant variables, including: age, previous number of vertebral fractures, obesity, family history of osteoporosis, and smoking. The supplement was found to be extremely safe, with none of the horrible side effects of prescription drugs for osteoporosis.

NOTE FROM TED: We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. As the speaker states in the opening of their talk, this is their own personal theory of health. Please do not look to this talk for medical advice. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdf
We know that water conducts electricity in our bodies. But would you like to see how? What if you learned about a little something extra that could add a lot more zap to your zip? Dr. Seneff has all the data that you need.
A committed voice for sanity in science, Dr. Seneff has authored over two dozen peer-reviewed journal papers over the past few years about the connection between toxic chemicals and micro nutrient deficiencies in health and disease, with a focus on the dangers of Roundup (glyphosate) and the importance of sulfur. For more than three decades, her research interests have been at the intersection of biology and computation: developing a computational model for the human auditory system, understanding human language so as to develop algorithms and systems for human computer interactions, and applying natural language processing (NLP) techniques to gene predictions. Her current work focuses on the relationship between health and nutrition.
Dr. Seneff is a Senior Research Scientist at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in Cambridge, MA. She has four degrees from MIT including a B.S. in biology and a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science.

Today I want to cover the different signs of a deficiency in trace minerals.
Trace minerals are minerals needed in tiny or trace amounts. A few examples of important trace minerals are zinc, iodine, selenium, and iron.
Trace minerals are essential for enzymes, which are proteins that run the body.
Symptoms of zinc deficiency:
• Hair loss
• White spots on the nails
• Low testosterone
• Diarrhea
Symptoms of iron deficiency:
• Anemia (weakness, fatigue, cold sensation)
• Brittle nails
• Hair loss
Symptoms of selenium deficiency:
• Infertility
• Fatigue
• Hair loss
Symptoms of iodine deficiency:
• Swelling in the lower part of the neck
You might not notice any symptoms right away, but a trace mineral deficiency could contribute to all kinds of chronic diseases later in life. It could even increase your risk of cancer.
The best sources of trace minerals:
1. Seafood
2. Organ meats
3. Eggs
4. Seaweed or sea kelp
5. High-quality sea salt

Find out if one trace mineral can help end your arthritis pain for good.
0:00 Introduction: The number 1 missing trace mineral in arthritis
0:24 What is boron?
0:57 Boron benefits
3:26 How much boron do you need for arthritis?
Today, we’re going to talk about the number 1 missing trace mineral involved in arthritis. Vitamin D and magnesium are often used for arthritis, but they won’t work without enough boron.
There aren't many studies on boron, but there is some promising data involving boron and arthritis. Boron seems to be the key trace mineral that allows calcium and magnesium to work.
If you’re deficient in boron, you’ll have excess calcium and magnesium in the urine and tend to get more calcification in the soft tissues. You might also have weaker bones.
Here are some of the health benefits of boron:
• Helps keep minerals inside the bone
• Allows vitamin D to be activated
• Helps prevent tooth decay
Boron helps prevent joint inflammation by reducing C-reactive protein. A boron deficiency can also cause receding gums, kidney stones, calcium in the arteries, and calcium in the joints.
The parathyroid gland stores the most boron in the body and produces a hormone that helps control calcium. If you don’t have enough calcium, the parathyroid hormone will increase to extract the calcium from your bones. You need boron to allow this process to work.
If you’re low in boron, you might also be low in testosterone or estrogen. Research suggests that boron can even potentially help reduce the risk of prostate cancer.
To use boron to help relieve arthritis symptoms, try starting with 3 mg of boron three times per day and see if the problem resolves within 1 to 3 months.
