An excerpt of the re-recorded version of the song is used as the opening theme to the VH1 television series Hindsight in addition to appearing on the show's second episode.
The song features as a playable track in videogames Guitar Hero 5 (having been re-recorded by the band) and Rock Band 3 (in its original version present in Resident Alien).
The song is the opening music to David Spade's 1998 HBO special "Take The Hit".
In the Meantime is Joe Pug's second EP. In 2010, while recording what would eventually become his first full-length album, Pug released In the Meantime free of charge to subscribers of his email list. Pug stated that the EP was "a thank you of sorts to all the fans that have helped spread my music around to their friends and family over the last year." The EP consists of five previously-unreleased songs recorded during the sessions that produced Nation of Heat.
In the Meantime is the third solo album by the British Fleetwood Mac vocalist/keyboardist Christine McVie, released in 2004 on Koch Records and Sanctuary Records Group. It was McVie's first solo recording since 1984, and the first since her departure from Fleetwood Mac.
Many of the songs on the album were composed by McVie and her nephew Dan Perfect, with contributions from ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist Billy Burnette; Robbie Patton, who co-wrote Fleetwood Mac's 1982 hit "Hold Me" with McVie; George Hawkins, ex-member of Mick Fleetwood's Zoo in the mid-1980s, and McVie's ex-husband Eddy Quintela.
Except for a few interviews, McVie did not intend to promote the album. As a result, In the Meantime only reached #133 on the UK Albums Chart and failed to enter the U.S. Billboard 200. Debuting at peaking at #32 on the Billboard Independent Albums, it had sold around 20,000 copies in the United States up until 2005, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In a 2014 interview in the Los Angeles Times taken after her returning to Fleetwood Mac, McVie stated about the album that "It had some good songs on it, but I went about it all wrong”.

In The Mean Time - Radio Show | Season 1 | Episode 4 | The Relation-Ships We Sink Pt.2 | CurlyLoxx
“In The Meantime” is the brainchild of Patrick “Curly Loxx” Gaynor. It is written, recorded, and produced entirely by him. With this program, he attempts to fill the void created when “Stir It Up” is between volumes. The concept is a radio show parody that is centered around the satirical discussion of serious social topics.
Today's topic in episode 4 entitled (The relation- ships we sink p 2) is the continuation episode 3 which is centered around the recent and not so recent upsurge of violence against women in Jamaica and the world. Patrick continues to address the subconscious egocentric inner realities of the human being that separates them from the things the believe they way. He goes deep in exllaing the human tendency to fantasize and base their desires on ideas while ignoring ...

Recorded in 1995. When asked in an interview with Songfacts.com, songwriter Royston Langdon explained that the song’s meaning is “It’s me trying to reach people. It’s using some kind of metaphor of a worldly or inner-worldly search for the end of isolation, and the acceptance of one’s self is in there. At the end of the day it’s saying whatever you gotta do, it’s OK, it’s alright. And I think that’s also me talking to myself, getting through my wan anxieties and fear of death. That’s what it all comes down to. What’s so beautiful about it is that it continues to connect with people”.
