Johnny Clarke (born 12 January 1955) is a Jamaicanreggae musician, best known for his recordings with producer Bunny Lee in the 1970s.
Biography
Clarke grew up in the Kingstonghetto of Whitfield Town and attended Jamaica College. In 1971 he won a talent contest in Bull Bay, his prize a meeting with producerClancy Eccles, with whom he recorded his first song, "God Made the Sea and the Sun", the following year. The single didn't sell well, and disappointed with the lack of promotion from Eccles, he moved on to Rupie Edwards, who produced Clarke's first hits in 1973, with "Everyday Wondering" and "Julie". In 1974, Clarke moved on again, recording "Jump Back Baby" for Glen Brown, before beginning a long association with Bunny Lee and his band The Aggrovators in 1974. "None Shall Escape the Judgement" was an immediate success and became the title track on Clarke's debut album.
The music video was shot during a hectic time in Braxton's career. After the commercial success from the preceding singles and co-headlining a tour with Kenny G., Braxton was exhausted. The time schedule for a video was roughly one day for director Billie Woodruff. A simple video featured Braxton wandering around in a white room wearing a white tanktop, blue jeans & a built up shoe.

The Vicious Story Of Lisa Straub & Johnny Clarke
Today’s case examines the brutal double homicide of a young couple in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. The case was unusual, with a friend claiming to overhear the start of the attack over the phone. And as the investigation unfolded, it seemed many of those closest to the couple were unwilling to share what they knew with police. It would take nearly a year for investigators to sift through a web of lies and half-truths before an arrest could be made. Yet ten years later, questions remain. Do police really have their killer? And who else was involved? This is the disturbing case of Johnny Clarke and Lisa Straub.
