Auschwitz III Monowitz and IG Farben filmed and narrated by dr Tomasz Cebulski in August 2020.
What is left of Auschwitz III Monowitz? I have recorded a film documenting the visible remnants and history of the third largest camp in Auschwitz complex. The so called "BUNA" camp, next to the enormous construction site of IG Farben plant, was functioning from 1942 till 1945 liberation. At a time it was accommodating over 12.000 of Auschwitz inmates and abusing their slave labor. Among those Primo Levi and Eli Wiesel. It is estimated that there might have been up to 10.000 victims.

IG Farben
IG Farben was a German chemical industry conglomerate, notorious for its role in the Holocaust. Its name is taken from Interessen-Gemeinschaft Farbenindustrie AG (Syndicate [literally, "community of interests"] of dye-making corporations). The company was formed in 1925 from a number of major chemical companies that had been working together closely since World War I. During its heyday, IG Farben was the largest chemical company in the world and the fourth largest overall industrial concern, after General Motors, U.S. Steel, and Standard Oil of New Jersey.
Following the Nazi takeover of Germany, IG Farben became involved in numerous war crimes during World War II. Most notoriously, the firm's pro-Nazi leadership openly and knowingly collaborated with the Nazi government to produce the larg...

IG Farben was a German chemical industry conglomerate, notorious for its role in the Holocaust. Its name is taken from Interessen-Gemeinschaft Farbenindustrie AG (Syndicate [literally, "community of interests"] of dye-making corporations). Following the Nazi takeover of Germany, IG Farben became involved in numerous war crimes during World War II. Most notoriously, the firm's pro-Nazi leadership openly and knowingly collaborated with the Nazi government to produce the large quantities of Zyklon B necessary to gas to death millions of Jews and other "undesirables" at various extermination camps during the Holocaust. The firm ceased operating following the fall of Nazi Germany in 1945, when the company was seized by the Allies; its assets were entirely liquidated in 1952, and 13 executives were imprisoned for terms ranging from 1 to 8 years at the Nuremberg Trials (specifically, the IG Farben Trial) for their roles in the atrocities.

Bayer's first and best-known product is Aspirin. But did you know that Bayer trademarked the name "Heroin" for the drug diacetylmorphine? Yes, seriously! It also marketed Heroin as a non-addictive substitute for morphine.
It was part of IG Farben, the world's largest chemical and pharmaceutical company, from 1925 to 1952. During World War II, IG Farben used slave labor in factories that it built adjacent to German concentration camps, notably Auschwitz. After World War II, the Allies broke up IG Farben and Bayer reappeared as an individual business "inheriting" many of IG Farben's assets.
In May 2016, Bayer offered to buy U.S. seeds company Monsanto for $62 billion. Bayer attempted to purchase Monsanto again for $66 billion in September 2016, Monsanto accepted this bid and the merger is pending approval.
